Wow, first match back is the clasico? Big gamble from Pep, but it shows he has a lot of faith in Puyol.

the match was badly officiated.

Drama and entertainement still there though. and I have new found respect for Pepe. Didnt know there was a warrior in him. Led by example. Now if he only could cut out the silly antics.

Madrid gifted a non-existent penalty. Even so, Barcelona only have themselves to blame for not scoring a second goal. They were too content to have a 1-0 lead, and Villa... :nape:

No doubt Mourinho will emphasize the fact that Barcelona always plays against 10 men.

Realistically, this gives Barcelona the league title. Madrid needed the 3 points if they had any chance.

Nervy at the end, unneeded tackle from Alves.

Real needed a victory much more than Barca. Another La liga is very close to Pep team.
However, despite overwhelming position I think it was the closest La Liga in years. I think it was the first draw after that famous 3-3.

There are lots of pressure and physicality in these matches. I’m sure neither team will be the same after 4 matches. Good for Manchester United.

btw, I don’t how serious Puyol injury is but I doubt it if he can play this Wednesday. I think it’s risky to play Busquets in defense coz Barca will defend very deep in that case and it created chances for Real. The problem is Abidal is out as well and there are big question marks above Milito.

I think there was minimal contact on the Dani Alves tackle, but if you're gonna call that, you need to give Villa the penalty in the first half. Disappointing in the end, that should've been a win.
