Making people MOVE?

So PES 5 is fun, save the serious issues with passing and switching controls (from which we, keyboard users, suffer more than the controller users do), but one thing I don't get is:

How the hell do you get the players you are NOT currently controlling to move? Obviously, in offense this comes off as no prob. But in defense, this is a nightmare. I basically have to be pressing down the pressure 2 button (D for me) the entire time, but then that has its drawbacks as my already crappy defenders (Stein - Valeny - Jaric) all go bunch up on one guy. Otherwise, if one man (the one I am controlling) is running to a ball (to intercept or to tackle, etc), nobody else, no matter how close to the ball ever moves.

The most recent game I played, which, thankfully, did not move me from my first place in division 2, went something like this: Being first, i was playing the second team in the league. Obviously, important match. So after missing a dozen of my good chances (I hate Podolski), I finally scored off a header from a corner kick, making it 1-0. I wasted another dozen or so chances (once again, mostly Podolski) until on the 70th minute, my opponent was awarded a corner kick. Note that previously to this incident, the opponent had TWO shots, only one of which was, in fact, dangerous.

So being the awesome keeper that Ivarov is, he missed the ball coming out to punch it out and it came to the opponent forward, who headed it towards the goal. The ball bounced TWICE on the ground and, since I was at the time controlling the player at the left post and the ball was at the right, and the switching system sucks, everybody just kinda stood around and watched it go in to make it 1-1 and steal valuable 2 points from my team. Now, there were about 3-4 players in the box who could have EASILY ran up and kicked the ball out in real life. But instead, they just stood around and then as soon as it went in did the amazingly frustrating put-my-hands-on-my-head-and-pretend-I-don't-suck move, which never ceases to piss me off.

Aidez-moi, s'il vous plait? How the hell do I fix this???

Also, if anybody has got any clue on how to beat teams with Minanda and co on difficulties above 3 stars, please give me a hint. I am frustrated by playing 3 stars when I played PES 4 at 6 stars with unbelievable ease.

Loose ball in the box sucks. The best you can do is keep jamming the shot button which is a full power clearance when on defence. Never try to make a short pass or anything. The other thing you can do if the keeper isint on the ground or far away is hold down keeper advance button and he will run to the ball on his own and pick it up.

The other thing is turn OFF auto switching! I have never used it since PES 3.

About the defualt ML Team: They suck! lol, and Vornander retired! NOOOO!! (6)
Try to find as many of the the best cheap players you can in the first transfer window, even if you have to fire lots of the defualt guys.

Damn, ML is real tough this time, with the fatigue reallly affecting your lineup and everything, but what a challenge. Lol yeah the defaults suck and the "good" players retired like Vornader. The players that seem to be improving a lot on my team are Ordaz, Dodo, Hamsen and Ruskin, these four are very promising players since they are young and gaining lots of experience.

Just finished my 2 second season on 2nd divison on 4 stars, finished 4th =?! Minanda received the overall best player award lol, shocking by his age, his passing has won me last minute games. i finally purchased a great player, Carlitos Tevez my first Galactico haha, he was pretty cheap which was also a suprise. Now i want to test him out in the preseason games, while the other 4 promising players just get better along with him. Things are starting to come together, after 1 miserable season, and 1 semi good/bad season.

well my point is - is it possible to win on 6 stars with these players? cuz I'm having trouble with 3.

Get Schuster from Germany - insane growth curve. I spent all my money on him, but he's already doing more than his share to win my games (first game I used him in he got 2 assits and 2 goals out of 4 total goals in the game :-D). I also got some cheap forwards who don't miss as much as Castolo and the gang (Kerzhakov from Russia and Podolski, again from Germany). Plus I got this random swedish guy who's very fricking good and relatively cheap.

Dodo is great as a CMF/DMF (for the team) and I like Jaric in defense.

Do tactics matter for a crappy team as this one?
