The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has ruled that Spanish Liga club RCD Mallorca does not meet the necessary admission criteria for participating in the 2010/11 UEFA club competitions.

I can't believe that Mallorca can't play in Europa League next season after such a fantastic year they had... and after the bad luck in the last round with Sevilla scoring in 90+ and send Mallorca in Europa League....

Wasn't there a financial problem with Mallorca? And UEFA refused them to enter the competition? I don't see the point that a club i banned from entering the competition if they have financial problems. They've managed to get to the competition despite the financial problems. LOOOOOOL UEFA big mistake

The thinking is that UEFA doesn't want to risk them going insolvent while in the competition and thus being forced to forfeit all their matches. That said, the money earned from UEFA games would really help Mallorca's financial situation, so this decision makes Mallorca's position even worse off.

I agree. I mean if they have money problems, UEFA knows that the money they get from each european game they play would really help the team out so I don't see the point of them getting banned from the competition
