The articles about United's transfer window are going viral from Herrera, Khedira, and Sneijder LOL. Moyes needs to have a better game plan for next sumeer, the media is looking for every opportunity to put the spotlight on United.

Then, Özil and Real tried to waste as much time yesterday as possible, still hoping United would make a move before the window closes. I think Yoyo meant United is stronger than Arsenal. I'm sure we said 'no' because we couldn't match what Real wanted. Even our board is not stupid enough for other reasons to be behind it.

I read something like that as well. That Özil's agents contacted us first, but apparently we were not "interested".

It would have been nice to have a player of such calibre, but since we've got that position pretty much filled with Kagawa and Rooney, we needed to focus on getting a central midfielder.

Khedira? Again, a prime example of why we were unsuccessful in this transfer season. We kept going after unrealistic targets. Whoever is in charge of transfers (probably Woodland) should use some intelligence and common sense. Why would a team like Real Madrid sell one of their first team players? Fabregas, Khedira, De Rossi etc are other examples. Our transfer business is like me when I played FM for the first time.

Ozil is not the player we need. Where would he fit? Bench Rooney? Kagawa is not playing because of the same reason: nowhere to fit him. Ozil is obviously better but he would either have to play on the left wing out of position or play Rooney on the wing. That would not improve things because one worldclass player would have to play out of position.

Exactly Nady. I'd been happy if we had gotten Ander Herrera and then called it a day.

Özil was definitely not necessary, would have improved our squad, but that's all. Some United fans can bitch about it all they can they want, but they gotta face the facts.

Well... I would like our midfield from now on to be Fellaini/Cleverley - Carrick/Fellaini with Kagawa/Rooney playing in front of them. But Ander Herrera would definitely be a massive upgrade over Cleverley. Since our midfield is our weakest point, more depth would be required, don't you agree? And for some reason i think Herrera would have done well for us

Cleverley is backup-quality at this point but is still improving. Carrick should be a starter but he is 31 or 32, his time will be up soon. If Herrera came, we would have to play with a rotation system. Carrick starts with Fellaini or Herrera. Eventually, Fellaini and Herrera would have to be starters but then, I am not sure if Fellaini is good enough as defensive midfielder because Herrera seems more of a creative attack orientated CMF.
