Barca and Bayern don't have a player that can find you anywhere on the field. Your thinking is much too rigid with a traditional school of thought that to win you need a midfielder who can defend and a midfielder who can attack. Maybe you watched too much of Ancelotti's diamond formation and now think that its the only way to go? Ferguson has proven time and time again that you don't need a good tackling midfielder, and if you think that United's success was strictly down to individualistic brilliance of its forwards, then you haven't watched nearly enough United games to comment about our tactics.

Also...Xavi: In the last 15 to 20 years the best central midfielder that I have seen — the most complete — is Scholes. I have spoken with Xabi Alonso about this many times. Scholes is a spectacular player who has everything. He can play the final pass, he can score, he is strong, he never gets knocked off the ball and he doesn’t give possession away. If he had been Spanish then maybe he would have been valued more.

There is not much need to prove here, our success speaks for itself.
