unhappy about the loss but we got what we deserved. Lacked "creativity". We did not look like we were going to score today

What does Fabregas have to do!?

He's awesome in the World Cup, he's awesome in the CL and he's awesome most games in the premiership (not an easy league for such a small player). Messi was average in the WC, he's good in the CL and he's good in la liga. But he's playing a much easier position, CM is a tough position where experience is a vital factor. Any nobody can be a winger.

That's a bit exaggerated. Messi played with Chelsea, Arsenal and Fabregas got spanked by Chelsea. Fabregas is a great player, but Messi is spectacular, but you can't compare the two of them, totally different players. Messi was awesome in the few minutes he played at the WC and that was just after a long term injury

OMG we havent beaten ManU in like 3 seasons. I think everyone wrote us off. Even us gooner fans were a bit optimistic about winning today. Man being the underdogs is always a good thing :rockman: :rockman:

MOM- MAD JENS. that save on OLe gunner was SERIOUS. the look on Oles face was funny like he couldnt believe what just happened.

I was celebrating when Ole took that shot. The tv showed the angle where the ball went in and the commentator didn't help with his screaming of "OLE HAS EQUALISED!"

That was 4 years, not 3 btw :ewan:

We really needed this, man.......desperately!

It's just too bad that we're already out of contention for the title in mid-Sept and that this victory didn't help us to either tie or go ahead of 'em in the standings....... :boohoo:

Respect to Alex Ferguson - Very gracious in defeat in the interview with Sky. If only more managers would behave with such diginity and I include Wenger in that,.

When Arsenal get the time and space to get their passing game going they are simply the best footballing side in England if not Europe.

A joy to watch.

Arsenal haven't been "spanked" by Chelsea. Fabregas has played well everytime he faced Chelsea. In his first match against them he rendered Lampard near useless.

Messi plays in Spain, Spain's definition of defending is standing around letting someone do tricks and hope they miss. We saw this when depleated Arsenal beat the crap out of Real Madrid and Villareal, and damn near held Barcelona with 10 men after having Lehmann sent off.

Messi wouldn't do anything in the Premiership, and I can say that with total confidence. The way he rolled around because of Chelsea? Blackburn and Bolton would make him catch the next flight to Buenos Aries.

And that said, Rooney. For all the money spent on him, and all the praise heaped on him, Kolo Toure (who was very injured today), and Johan Djourou, free transfers, kept him totally quiet today. Sure he scores crackers against Middlesbrough, and scores on David Seaman, but what's he done lately? Get sent off in the World Cup, and disappear into daylight against Arsenal. If a player was ever overated, it's Wayne Rooney.

Rosicky deserved a goal for his play, Adebayor showed Rooney what a forward is supposed to do, score. Freddie was bad, but did what he needed, would rather see Theo.

Don't jump on Wayne after this game. If you watch closely it was more of his heavy touches that let him down, rather than superb defensive play by Toure and Djourou. He was clearly lacking match fitness. And apart from the goal Adebayor didn't do anything, gave the ball away way too many times with his Kanusque style backheels and passes. Rooney scored 19 goals last season for a reason. I mean i could be jumping on Henry for his great start of the season too, but i know better than that.

yeah he's just going through a poor spell, and it hasn't been long... look how he did against fulham... we were by far the best team out there that day, it was just the brilliance of rooney that made it end 5-1. :funny: :funny:

Lehman got sent off because a simple combination between Ronaldinho and Eto'o destroyed your defence, when the game was 11 vs 11.

Then Arsenal parked the bus in front of the goal. We know the end. Belletti scored his first goal in two years. Real Madrid was in a similar situation in the Camp Nou and they did better. I don't think your defence deserve any praise.

Ironic.

Messi said after this: "With the victory you don't notice the kicks". Not only he wasn't scared at all, he was eager to play the second leg against Chelsea.

Though, sore loser Henry complained because Puyol and Márquez kicked him in the CL final . Probably the first time that somebody complains because our defence is violent.
