This is a question to the Chelsea fans, is it true that Chelsea only plays with one striker and uses wingers on the left and right to support the striker? have you guys ever tried the 4-4-2 formation and has it made the team better? (just a random question if there's a problem I can move this question to the chelsea thread)

But at the time, Duff and Cole didnt really figure in Jose's plans, and Robben was injured. When he finally got the latter back, and realized the usefulness and adaptability of the former, as well as the fact that we were struggling with 2 up top, he switched it, and then after the blackburn game, hes never looked back.
All that said, I would like to see things switched up from time to time. I know Rob is a proponent of wanting to see Guddy and Crespo paired, but I think Drogba along with either of the two would be awesome. Anyway, were scoring too much this year to change things now. Even with the current slump, I doubt Jose will change his plans, and now we have bought players to fit this system, so...

i feel manchester united are no longer the dominant force they were in the 1990's when the dominated english football and i believe chelsea will be too strong for them. i believe it will be a convincing 2-0 win for chelsea with goals from frank lampard and arjen robben.
lampards goal will come in the 55th minute from around 20 yards. with robbens in the 86th minute running past a helpless rio ferdinand and slotting to van der saars far post, he will then run behind the goals then towards the chelsea fans and slide on his knees.
wayne rooney will then be sent off in the 90th minute for a second bookable offense, a late tackle on michael essien. with the 1st booking coming just 7 minutes earlier after a dive in the chelsea penalty box.
