Manager Life (beta) for FIFA 10 is out!

After years of hard work I'm happy to announce that I have just released the Manager Life (beta), which is a manager app for FIFA 10.

It is basically a manager game that allows you to play the matches in FIFA 10.

It is still only a beta, and I've put all my efforts into the game mechanics and the AI, so the content (player names, club rankings etc.) is not like IRL.

Here's a short video that shows how to install and begin playing:

Here are some screen shots taken from the game:

If there is still anyone playing FIFA 10, I would love to get your opinion on this early version. My future plans involve making it work with more recent versions of FIFA (e.g. FIFA15).

Finally, a link to where you can download the game:

The idea is great. Unfortunately I don't play FIFA 10 but I hope you could create the same thing for FIFA 16. :)

When I shifted from FIFA 06 to FIFA 10 it took just one or two months of work, but to make the (quite extensive) AI in Manager Life fully embrace any new concepts in a new version takes several months.

But it all depends on what has already been done (and what can be done) in order to get information on a played game from the manager save games in FIFA. For example, I need a way to know how much time a given player has been on the pitch in a given match (changes in Team Experience allowed me to do that in FIFA10).

I also need to be able to create a tournament in the FIFA such that the two teams will meet each other twice on the same day. This way fatigue is retained after the (first) match, and I can collect that info for Manager Life who will handle recovery from fatigue itself.

There are lots of other things that are necessary in order to make it work with newer version, and the bottom line is that my work stand on the shoulders of the work of people such as Rinaldo.

However, when I look at the tools available to get an understanding of the manager save games of the newer versions of FIFA, I have yet to find anything like that resembles what I had at my disposal for FIFA10.
