Managing National Teams

Hopeunited

Starting XI
I've only played 1 season so far, and have a noob question:

Approximately how many manager points or titles or how long do you have to play before you get invited to manage a national team? And if you do get invited, would it be the NT of the country ur managing in or the country of ur nationality or just any country that needs a manager?

Just apply for open jobs. 90% of the time you need to be from that nation to even have a chance at the job, and it's 100% if you're trying to be a major nation's manager.

if you're not from a big country you will find it hard to get jobs at BIG countries, e.g. if you arent from England i doubt you'd get the job that easily; of course clearly Rob is a supermanager :D

Unless he put his nationality as english.

I applied for England but resigned after a year to celebrate winning the title with Villarreal. :boohoo: They asked me to reconsider but I said no.

after the 1st season I always get jobs offered from semi-good nations like Norway and Russia. After 2 seasons managing PSV, I got offered the Dutch NT job, I got also offered jobs of England and Germany (after 4 seasons Middlesbrough) and Italy (after 5 seasons Parma)

I rejected all though, managing NTs are extremely boring to me. Even combined with a club.

On cm03/04 I did like managing national teams, in one game (from 2003 to 2024) I managed Belgium, Netherlands, Argentine, France, England, Brazil, Italy. I won a worldcup (Netherlands) a european championship (Netherlands), de gold cup (I think that's it's name) with Brazil and the Copa America with Argentina

I tried to apply for England, but I never heard anything :D

Later I got offered a manager job for Norway after winning the UEFA-Cup with RBK. I thanked yes, and won the World Cup in my first championship. :p

Happy now, Tom? I posted! :p

Just a question about NT management... how do you find the world rankings?
To answer your actual question:p

Go to a tournament's section, any tournament involving national teams will do, and there will be a link to the World Rankings in the side menu.
