Yes, quite right. Honestly can't wait to see Bojinov back out there on the pitch.

Not the best game again today. Gave them too much room to move and our attack looked medicore.

Bring on Derby :)

another horrible game... our attack is just not there right now, we were lucky to come out with even a point. need to get this sorted out fast, bring in players or whatever needs to be done or we're going to keep slipping down the table :S

I think if Podolski is not coming to MC, than Berbatov and Huntelar won't be coming too, since they're both better than Podolski.

As of the CL dream of Sven - it gets slowly but surely into a dream. I mean, playing like you did at the beginning of the season was good and you seemed to be able of breaking the deadlock. latest games proved otherwise though.

haha amazing how soon the nay sayers come to the fore, talking as if all along City were aiming for the CL when right from the beginning the REAL fans and Sven himself have been talking about finishing in a good position and having a good cup run. ffs, in his first year in charge, why would it be likely that we would make the Cl, it would be a waste of time when every good manager needs a few years. To have CL football next year would be a false dawn, just as I said right at the beginning of the season. Every week the REAL fans have expressed equal amounts of amazement we are in this position (Fifth now, which ain't so bad when looking at the last decade or two) combined with satisfaction we are doing so well. To finish anywhere in the top ten whilst reaching a cup semi would be a success this term, and for us REAL fans that will be quite fine and a good start fro consolidating the team and pushing on next season.

I don't think you should expect much of him this season though...it's gonna take him at LEAST a month after he is back until he starts playing well. These kinds of injuries scare players...it'll take him some time to forget about it.

not gonna lie when I say I'm really hoping we can keep a UEFA Cup spot... Champions League remains a dream for sure, at least for the mean time.

Bayern claim Podolski's available for loan... why the hell not? our attack cant get any worse at the moment, can it? unless Samaras makes a comeback into the starting XI or something.

Oh a UEFA spot is fine, much better than a Champs League spot where we would get knocked out early on because of having a team that has yet more new additions. Remember we got knocked out of the Carling Cup early on.

Podolski would be a great addition to Man City, even on a loan.

Since moving to Bayern after his amazing world cup ride, he has been utterly terrible. But a move to a new club in a new league will do him a great deal off good. At least it will take the media heat off him in Munich.

Look at Santa Cruz at Blackburn this year? Couldn't get a game at Bayern so he moved to England and is firing!

Its worth the risk - our attack is terrible. Just think, where would we be without Petrov and/or Elano? Bottom half..

Good point about Santa Cruz. Plus Podolski couldn't be worse than the current bunch of horses we have up front, could he? Plus on loan it would be worth the risk until the end of the season anyway. Provided he doesn't do a Castillo of course...

gotta be ******* kidding me, the same day that Bayern claim Podolski isn't going anywhere, we go and loan Bianchi out to Lazio. so now we get the pleasure of seeing Vassell playing as a loan striker for the rest of the season and put all our hopes on Nery/Bojinov making speedy recoveries and jumping right back into first team duties. I sincerely hope we make a new acquisition before the window closes again, or our attack will just stay as stagnant as it has been the past few games (N)

It doesn't make ANY sense does it?
Perhaps the coach know's something we don't - let's hope they have secretley done a deal with an ace striker to accompany Vassell.

Ah ****. At least Sturridge looks ok. But it seems our lack of depth is really catching up on us. Given that lack of depth, now we can focus on the league and not have the extra games to play. I guess....

the struggle continues... Sturridge seems like a breath of fresh air for our attack, but I don't think it'll be anywhere near enough. we need Johnson back in midfield, he made Elano what he was, with him out Elano's looked lost on the field... ughhh let's just hope the tide turns again soon, 2008 hasn't been so pleasant so far :(

I'm surprised Sven doesn't show any Swedish bias towards Isaakson. He is a great goalkeeper, and to lose him is a shame. We seem to be letting players go, but not picking up ANY?

Dabo - not too fussed about losing him. Samaras - again, not too fussed about that.
I'm upset Bianchi is gone on loan, but am happy Richards has another two years on his City contract!

By the way, like us all, my main priority is the Premiership.. but how sh*t did we play against Sheffield U? Balloons or no balloons

Boy do we need him.

At present, we are relying on an 18 year old with 3 matches experience, up front.

Our defence is looking very shaky. It's hard to think we need another CB with Richards and Dunne, but maybe we do? Keep them on their toes at least.
