yeah but I think you're forgetting where you were last year...And yes, I know you have a new owner, manager, players etc. but still. Half a season of success isn't gonna make a player think you're a top team.

ahem! people, i did not say "we" as a City supporter cos i'm not one. It's from the point of view of "us" - the guys writing here. and i can write wherever i decide and feel to. :)

As for Levski and CSKA - i support neither of them, cos they are as bad as each other. :D I support Slavia Sofia - a much decent team with real football and not some idiots playing giants, whilst what these other 2 trully are is ignorant fakes (at least the last 2 years show that to me). Although it's a derby with huge history behind it, the current situation is, that both CSKA and Levski are very weak, according to me. I even dare to say i can personally do a career there. At least i am not going to be some stupid moaner pretending to be a footballer, whose real first priorities in life are dating hot chicks and riding sports cars.

United - City derby: for a "derby" to be .. you know .. "DERBY" the game needs A. hostory B. two equaly good teams. History may be available for the Manchester derby, but -no disrespect- City were never equal to United, at least not during the time i am personally following my fav team. (there was only 1 season without a MU win ever since)
The same story - Arsenal-Spurs. Ok, i support Spurs in that game, but they simply cannot compare with Arsenal. Plus they haven't won it 9 years now.
A real derby of nowadays needs 2 equaly good teams. Chelsea - QPR - this is NOT a derby too. It just can't be. QPR supporters may feel it that way, but it just ain't a derby.

Rony31, you're wrong about Berbatov. You obviously don't know him very well. Berba is not some stupid moaner (Anelka), he never said he would broke some record. Spurs' people said, they'd let him go for that price tag and no less.

Alves for 20m € would be a joke imo. Yes he scores a lot, but this is always against smaller teams. He barely scores against the big teams. Besides, would you want a player with his attitude? He's been trying to force a transfer for half a year now. Obviously the same would happen at Man City when a bigger club with higher wages comes along.

I don't know whether Sven is searching for someone with future loyalty for City, or just someone who will be hungry for goals and bag them in every Saturday.

About what derby is - Chelsea-QPR IS NOT A DERBY, no matter what a QPR fan might be telling you ;). It truly depends on which team you support, etc. I know some games might be called derbies, but i just wanted to state, i don't feel them to be.

And YOU do not get to be the person who re-writes a half century of history because of your OPINION. Of course QPR vs. Chelsea is a derby. As recently as 1986 QPR thrashed Chelsea 6-0. Now just because your football knowledge doesn't extend beyond the treble winning year for United does not give you the right to state it isn't a derby. PLUS QPR just became the club with the richest backers in England, richer even than Abramovich.

Thats brilliant (H) Can you give me some of your Derbys? Newcastle vs Westham? They've had some good matches in recent years...

How you can say United City and Tottenham Arsenal aren't derbys is just beyond me. Next you'll be writing off Rangers vs Celtic, AC vs Inter and Real vs Atletico.

He'd solve our right-wing issues and more. don't think Geo and Ireland can get the job done there, although Geo's never really been given a proper chance... don't matter though, Mancini would be awesome.

we've also been linked to Elmander, who's on good form with Toulouse. what's that, the 20th striker we've been linked to since Sven took over? :p

Mancini would be a sensational coup if you guys can manage it ...

as for a striker: unless you get rid of one, it would be a waste trying to recruit another (even if it is Elmander) ... plus, Bozhinov's return in late Jan / early Feb will be like a new signing in itself ...

Now I am reading that Sven denies any approach for Mancini (:/)

yup, just read that too. ah well :( meanwhile, Iraqi midfielder Akram has finally arrived for his trial, and Sven wants to seal the deal with his club for him

Roma guys are pretty greedy, they will never ever let Mancini go for less than 15 mil pounds. ;) If you just can recall AC Roma's squad now, the only outstanding players in a good footballing age (aka, less than 29), are maybe 2-3, Mancini one of them..
Either Sven will splash the cash, or this would just remain as some glossy newspaper cover, and Man CIty will lose the 4th place battle to pool. :( Which will be really annoying, since i do want to see Martin and Valeri performing in the CL next year.

surprised we are starting with Castillo in such an important game - crappy first half, lets see if any of the subs can pull off the late late show like we often do...

limp attack today, only test we gave Howard was Petrov's stinging low drive in injury time but even that was calmly dealt with. poor game overall, despite our pressure in the 2nd half. and I could have SWORN Lescott's goal was offside... then again I was watching a laggy stream, so not 100% sure. if it was offside, that's 3 or 4 times this season that we've been directly punished by a poor decision (Chimbonda, Santa Cruz, Lescott off the top of my head) (N)

was at school so didn't get to see the game yesterday, but a 1-0 victory thanks to an Elano header sends us through to the 4th round against Sheff. but again, I read that it was an ugly game and once again Petrov was the engine... our attack is looking limp, and Castillo got injured 30 mins in, another setback :( and a disappointing transfer window so far, seems like all our targets are fading away.

Don't bother, as long as you have Martin there putting runs on the left wing, you'd be fine :D

plus, Bojinov is coming back soon! betcha await him desperately... :D
