Went to the stadium yesterday to try get in last minute... the ticket touts were wanting £250 per ticket plus.

Went to the grounds to see if we could sneak in but I've never seen so much security at the ground. I mean 3-4 guys in front of doors followed by more behind the doors.

We tried paying a few etc just couldnt get in. Ended up going to the railway to watch the game i decided to go back at the 80th minute. There was even more security now and police.

We got some tickets off the away fans leaving but they still wouldn't let us in. We all but gave up then found a door maned by one man, he let some guys out then looked away and we dashed in haha.

Was brilliant, got in for the trophy & songs, lap of honor etc. Brilliant, in the corner near the tunnels.

Yeah I was at the last game of last season against Swansea City at Old Trafford and I travelled with the Durham United supporters club and one of them offered me a ticket for £50 and I'd been to a bar next to the Lowry shopping centre for a few drinks and when I got to the stadium, I was really drunk but looked forward to the game despite City technically already winning (buying) the league.

Anyway, the ticket I had had 'O 65' on it, I didn't have a clue what it meant until I reached my gate in the East Stand and the steward there told me that it was an Over 65's ticket and I knew how tight it was to get in, but luckily enough the steward was sympathetic because it was the final game of the season and he let me in...so yeah it's pretty tight, I was at the final game in 2011 when we won the title and security was very tight then.

Ticket touts are never trustworthy. They're only in it for the money and not the love for United.

#ThankYouSirAlex

What a fantastic trophy parade for our champions. I've been watching the whole thing on MUTV. What a turn out at Albert Square too!
A fantastic conclusion to a terrific season and the best send off for the best manager in world football history:

I can't wait to watch the Players awards next week.

We weren't going to be champ19ns forever :)

"Forever and ever, we'll follow the boys of Man United, the Busby babes!"

You mean to say that the guys who buy tickets for the purpose of reselling them actually don't care about the "true" fans catching a game? :O :confused2: :-(

ugh, I always suspected those bastards were heartless

What I mean is that these tickets, we think are legitimate, could be fakes. To get into Old Trafford itself, the tickets or season ticket cards need to work when scanned by the machines before the turnstiles allow you to pass, so if you've bought a ticket for a hundred or so pounds and it doesn't work, then we can safely assume that not only have you been totally ripped off and robbed but the people selling them aren't in it for their fellow fans but only for the money.

In 2006, when England were playing at Old Trafford, I was approached by one of them offering tickets. Straight away, I was sceptical and I didn't trust him, even though I was dying to go to my first England match, I refused.
I regret it, but I probably would have been scammed.

Man those tickets are pretty hard to fake. If a guy makes them legit looking, he probably deserves 100 pounds for the work

United’s youngsters set up National final vs Tottenham

Manchester United’s Under-21s will play Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the Barclays U21 Premier League at Old Trafford on Monday, May 20th with a 7pm BST kick-off.

United’s youngsters beat Liverpool 3-0 in Tuesday night’s play-off, semi-final at Old Trafford with Larnell Cole scoring a hat-trick in front of 3,000 fans.

All set-up for the final, Manchester United have played Tottenham Hotspur four times in the Barclays U21 Premier League this season, sharing the honours.

Winning 2-0 at Moss Lane back in August but then lost 4-2 at the Tottenham’s Training Centre. The results were the same as Tottenham claimed the Elite Group title in phase two. Beating Manchester United 3-1 in February before United turned the tables in March, this time a 1-0 win at the Salford City Stadium.

United make the final with a 3-0 win over Liverpool, as Tottenham progress to the final after a last minute 3-2 win over Everton on Monday night.

The guy who sold it to me on the coach was a legitimate United supporters club member like I, there is a difference as members like to sell their spare season ticket cards to other United supporter club members for one game for reasons such as a family member cannot attend etc., but he should have known better....and I was let into the ground because it was the last game of the season!

It's not bad though, Newcastle Central Station to Old Trafford and back, on the same day for £25 plus the cost of your ticket (£30-60), get a match program or scarf then hit Sam Platts or Trafford bar for pre-match drinks.
I've had some great memories and banter with the lads, talking United and football in general on both journeys is great.

What I love about United is that it's like one big family. Where you live or come from is irrelevant. And watching top-notch football too!

I've bought tickets of the touts loads of times, they tend to congregate around the chippy area. Its usually quite safe, and pay close to the normal fee. Usually around £45... never been done yet but its usually quite obvious who the crooks are. Need to be more worried about them mugging you then if the ticket is real.

SAF's & Scholes final home game and trophy obviously a bit different... price hikes through the roof.

Its far easier for big games, like in Rome the tickets came with free transport, so if you bought a ticket for £450 you could walk with the guy to one of the train terminals and check the legitimacy.

I hear there's going to be a play-off for third place at Villa Park.

Pfftt...they should have had one for first place in the 2011/12 season, City and United were equal on points, so would have been a good idea. Winner becomes champions and gets the trophy...seemed fairer to me.

"Aguero!!!! City have scored and bought the league!!!"
