I'm not optimistic too. This kind of scenario has happened too often. Thiago to Real or Bayern wouldn't make a lot of sense though. Thiago wants to leave because he wants to play regularly in order to secure a place for WC 2014. He would struggle and face still competition at Bayern or Madrid. Bayern has Gotze, Schweinsteiger and Toni Kroos.

Ronaldo is unlikely. Why would he leave his beloved Real Madrid to play for David Moyes?

10m for Baines is a joke. He will be the next Ashley Cole, if you got him for 20m that would be a bargain. Damn Moyes trying to rip off his old club.

20 millions for a 28 year-old fullback? Are you kidding me? If he was 24 years old 20 millions would be reasonable. I think between 10-15 millions would be a good investment for his age.

You are probably right but I would spend the 20 millions where we need it the most though (i.e. central midfield). Evra is still doing a good job.

Yeah 20m for him sounds reasonable since he's so good! And don't forget that sometimes English players are overpriced. Just look at Liverpool haha, that's your favourite topic Nady. But i don't wanna get into it.

We don't have to look at Liverpool's transfer policy as an example. The more they spend, the worse they become. (H)

I think they are getting better though. Sturridge has been doing pretty well for them, but signing the likes of Downing and Henderson for lots of money haha, i've got no words.

Overall they've fallen despite the millions they've spent. They were title contenders 5 years ago (finished 2nd) and now are EUROPA contenders despite spending a lot. Things might change this season though. Some of the new players are looking promising (at last).

Yeah.
I'm also suprised about Coutinho, he's done pretty good as well. But i don't know what would happen if they were to lose Suarez.

To be honest, I think Rodgers was a great managerial appointment who'll get them back in the top 4 within 5 years. Signings like Henderson, Carroll and Downing were a joke in the Dalglish era, but I reckon he hasn't done too badly since with Sturridge and Coutinho since. I'm interested to see his new signings in action, too.

We shouldn't bid more than 15m for Baines and really should be looking at midfield. Last month there were rumours regarding Fellaini who's a player I'd like to see at United, though it doesn't look like it'll happen. Otherwise Strootman would also be an option.

I think Evra will just go on you, he failed miserably at EURO 2012 and I was surprised he got it together last season, he strikes me as a player that could crash in a matter of a few games. Right now you could sell him to Monaco and I would cash in.

Rodgers is one of the best young managers in the world. Trust me, he will go on to greatness.

You will get five top class years out of him. Everton would be crazy to sell him for less than 20m.

You are nuts, we signed Van Persie at 28 for 22.5m.

Why are we trying to get Baines anyway, what will he add over Evra besides set-pieces? Should develop some young player to follow Evra and spend the money on a damn midfielder already.

Van Persie had one year left o his contract and was actually one month away from being 29.

:(

Anyway, still no news on Thiago. Either he is really busy on his holidays or these were just rumours from the beginning.
