I'm beyond gutted. Every single player in red won his individual battle yesterday, Evans and Brown were superb in defence, Evra was practically on the left wing and Valencia pinned Cole in his own half. Anderson, Fletch and Carrick performed the best I've seen them since last season, and Rooney was running everywhere.
And to have it taken away on yet another dodgy refereeing decision (or decisions - a blatant penalty from the England Captain in the first half) And I can see why Fergie says the boys are loosing faith in the officials. Perhaps Sir Alex's comments have sparked a backlash from referees, because we certainly don't seem to get anything.
But in anycase, however much we were robbed, we have to get on. I would also like to say that if United don't win the title then I'd prefer Arsenal to do it as at least they play football. Chelsea's cheating and gamesmanship was terrible. From Terry's rugby tackle on Valencia, to Cole's theatrical dive over Fletcher's foot.
Still there's a long way to go, and even if we didn't gain a point - I think the eleven in red out there certainly made one. We can compete with the other "big four". Hopefully now this injustice will forge a winning mentality, and United can launch on the run we know they can.
Chelsea themselves will have to come to Old Trafford, and they know now that we can batter them.
It's just a shame that after the best performance of the season, we are once again talking about the referee.
