Yeah this season is a bit crazy...I feel that if we have had a decent defence we could have capitulate on Chelsea's current run.... That's why I am not worried at all, as long as we can keep the damage to a minimum until a few more players come back...

Help?

Good to see Rooney finally realize that he is not a one-man team. Shame it took a terrible back pass to get his head thinking about letting other players do the work as well.

Terrible performance, masked by a good score. At least we have some defenders back. I think the only player that emerged with any credit was Wazza.

Berbatov looks a shadow of his best, hopefully the goal will inject him with some self belief. Still somehow we're closing on Chelsea again so not too much to complain about.

all 4 goals were created by Rooney including Hull's goal. Although he scored 1 and built up 2, he's been poor IMO trying to do everything on his own, misplacing passes etc but he made up for it by scoring 1 and creating 2. Something's wrong with the team right now. Many players are completely out of form e.g Berbatov, Valencia, Giggs. Carrick and Fletcher played well and I thought Park did well when he came on.

Btw that was a very weak call for penalty. Very minimal contact by Rafael but anyway Hull deserved a pen for Brown's challenge earlier in the game. I'm happy Brown and Vidic are back. Our defence looked much more organised today.

We gave so many chances to hull and that's terrible (there were lots of space available for hull players at midfield area, I think Carrieck and Fletcher are a bit rusty).

Our pressing was really bad, the passing was good especially the trough balls. I really liked that Rafael chance that he played the ball himself from our goal area.

In my idea, Valencia played poor in last couple of matches; his crosses are horrible at the moment, low and predictable.

Rooney should play like this, more dynamic in the area.

At the end, I’m agree with Mikey. The performance was not good but the result was. It’s good to see some real defenders.

not a very convincing performance but all that mattered was the 3 pts and we got it. Our passing was sloppy. Rooney had an awful game up until he made that mistake. After that it was a different player, and i wanna see that week in week out. Terrific pass to setup berba. Park did well when he came on. young rafael did very well. Overall, average performance. Our distribution from the defense has to be better. I hate it when brown or vidic aimlessly hoof the ball forward. I just hope we can play with a settled back four from now on.

Decent result, happy that we have some of the defenders back, that was the difference today. That was a very soft penalty given to Hull, very soft....

Oshea, he is so effective, I hope he comes back soon.

and when the hell Hargreaves will come back? he was supposed to play in November.

He's expected to come back on the 31st January. O'Shea and Evans are expected back on the 9th January. Nothing is known about Ferdinand and Van Der Sar yet. But I think we can manage with Vidic Brown in the centre for now. They are both solid defenders.

anyone know whats going on with the nani situation? He hasnt been among the subs let alone playing lately.

It was so obvious for me after that nasty interview.

well, he should learn some politics in his interviews.

Nani has an ankle injury since the Wolfsburg game, that's why he hasn't been playing lately.....

Worrying news about Edwin's wife. She had a stroke and is currently in the hospital. I wish Edwin and his family the best. I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to end his career, so that he gets the time to take care of his family.

Such bad news for Edwin and family just when they were preparing to celebrate Christmas... I wish them all the best.

By the way some good news on injuries. From Manutd.com:

Sir Alex Ferguson delivered some more festive cheer on Tuesday with the news that several Reds are back, or close to returning, from injury.

Following the return of Nemanja Vidic, Wes Brown and Rafael at Hull on Sunday, Gary Neville is the latest to bolster United's defensive options. While Jonny Evans and Rio Ferdinand miss Wednesday's game against Wigan, the former is particularly close to making his return.

"We brought two centre-backs back on Sunday and they made a tremendous difference to the defensive part of the side," Sir Alex told his pre-Wigan press conference. "We’ve got Gary Neville now available for tomorrow night, but we’re still hoping to have Evans and Ferdinand back soon. O’Shea may be a bit longer.

"Jonny actually has been training but he felt a tight hamstring the other day so we had to put him on the easy list for a couple of days. But he’s not far away. We’re getting a bit better in terms of the composition of the squad at a time of the year that’s vital to us."

Paul Scholes missed the weekend win over the Tigers after suffering a kick on the hip in training, but is fit for the visit of Roberto Martinez's side, as is fellow midfielder Anderson. Nani is the Reds' only injured forward.

Meanwhile, Edwin van der Sar, who has been missing with a knee injury, has been told to stay in the Netherlands with his wife Annemarie, who is in hospital. "I have told Edwin to stay over there. There is no point in him being here," said Sir Alex. "The best thing is for him to be with his wife. Hopefully she will make a good recovery."

EDIT: Concerning the Nani issue, I heard rumours a few days ago that he wants to leave. I would want him to stay though even if he has not been up to expectations. He`s still young and got huge potentials.

Yeah I hope she's okay, and of course I'm sure no-one would blame Edwin if he decided to finish his career in order to spend some family time. I don't think it'd be a suprise if he did to be honest.

Thomas K has been doing a really good job, and I wouldn't be unhappy with him taking over the role. It's also really nice to see the injury list receeding too.

I also see Real Madrid are using their Marca mouthpiece to try and unsettle Wazza and Nemanja. Apparently Nemanja will be their prime target in the summer, while Ronaldo is "begging" them to sign Wazza.

Still I don't think Rooney would go, but Nemanja wouldn't suprise me. One defender I think may leave in the summer may be Rio, especially if he can't get his top form back.

Incidentally, anyone wonderig what's happened to Kiko Macheda recently - MUTV have just said he's been injured.
