Oh man **** you. Berbatov scored 7 winners this season. He scored more winners than anyone else in the EPL.

Tevez scored 20 but 6 of these were penalties. He scored only 14 field goals. Berbatov scored 0 penalties. All his goals were field goals.

Berbatov > Tevez.

You once said that all EPL teams are tough. If they've been promoted to the EPL, thats because they are good. So you're contradicting yourself there.

That being said, I don't care if the goals are against weak teams or not. He scored 7 winners (from opta stats). More than any one else in the EPL this season. His goals were VERY decisive for us winning the title. His role is very underrated. Thats because he doesn't run in circles like Tevez used to do very often for us.

Tevez is more talented than Berbatov, obviously. But I prefer Berbatov much more because he doesn't mind being on the bench even though he's the EPL top scorer. Really great when you have players like these. Players like Tevez are more likely to cause problems in the dressing room.

Scholes officially retires end of another wonderful player's career.

Yeah a sad day.....defo one of my favorite players, mainly because of his life off the football pitch.....he doesn't want the attention, he just plays his football, spends time with his family and stays out of the limelight of the media.....lucky to still have him on the coaching staff!

True legend he is...

This:

I remember when I found an old United kit from a local drift/second hand store without a name and a number, I cut out "Scholes 18" from paper and glued it on the back myself (don't laugh, I was a poor eastern-european kid, lol).

Did he retire? Didn't see that coming. One of the best creative midfielders of his time. Never really got the credit he deserves.

Legend!

All Prem teams are tough, sure, but Berbatov still scored most, if not all, of his goals against weaker teams. I'm a fan of Berbatov, but he's only ever played well for half a season, and that was this first half of the season. He's also known for sulking on the bench, so I dunno where you got that from.

I've always defended Berbatov in the face of the criticism from most of the ManU fans on this forum, and he is a good player to have, but he's back-up now and if he doesn't like it it's best to show him the door.

Help?

Sad to hear that we won't see anymore passing from Scholes, he was a master at it. But maybe Fergie told him that we are buying a new central midfielder and Scholes decided that instead of just training for a year, he might as well hang up his boots?

"Madrid would also beat Man United" says the ******* Iker Casillas.
Can you provide a source? The only things I can find from casillas are congratulating barca and that he thinks de gea's impending move to united will put pressure on casillas' own claim to spain's #1 keeper.

With Scholes gone, midfield is a top priority. Unfortunately, Carrick just signed a new contract though Gill should've sold him.

IMO United should sell Grumpatov to Juventus, definitely sell Kuszczak, probably Wes Brown, Johnny Evans, and terminate Bebe's contract.

^ Do you play Fifa?

Carrick is great when on form. Don't think he should be a starter for a club like United. But a great backup at least. He wouldn't mind warming the bench too.

Are you willing to sell our top scorer and top scorer in the EPL? That would be stupid unless he wants to leave. I don't mind him as 3rd choice striker behind Rooney and Hernandez. If one of these 2 gets injured, you know that you have a very reliable striker to fill the spot.

Jonny Evans and Bebe are both young. I have good hopes on Evans. He's still around 21 and showed lots of potential in his first year.

Yes he scored most goals against weak teams but at that time Rooney was off form. He kept us going when no one else was scoring. At some point (in January I think), Berbatov had scored more hattricks than Rooney had scored goals. He's not that great against top opposition, but he's been crucial for us winning the title. If he wasn't scoring, we'd have drawn to many of these weak teams he scored against. His contribution was crucial.

He didn't have a good second half of the season because he hardly played. Chicharito was scoring too much to be placed on the bench. Berbatov was coming off the bench most of the time and he is not usually an impact player coming off the bench. If he started more games I'm sure he would've scored more.
