Good win, overall we were defending decently to hold them of, after their goal they couldn't do much anymore. I guess the second spot is ours for the taking, we just have to win one of the last 3 games to secure the second spot. Silvestre looks comfortable on the left-back position, he makes less mistakes there then in the centre. Ruud had a good game, it is a pity that he didn't get his goal, he got a few big chances

Great result...man we were dangerous on the break on many occasions. Just upset Ruud didnt score...he hit the post on the 2nd chance unlucky

meh i liked his pace, he definately had potential which could've been brought out with our great youth system.

Just watch the hightlights, what a day for the defenders to forget.

First Lee gifted the ball to Rooney in comical fashion under pressure from Park. Park wins the Korean showdown(Y)

Then our central defenders combined in an equally impressive way to set Jenas up for Spurs consolation...

Funny game to watch at the end of the day :funny:

good game :) thanks to 2 attacking sides - Martin Jol really is a class manager!

another 3 points and as mentioned either 1 slip by the Looneys or 1 further win from Utd and 2nd is guaranteed.

Rooney scoring twice, Park/Ronaldo both playing well :)

Happy with the result, but the centre of our midfield is still so shaky, we were very lucky to win that match. Spurs had most of the possession and squandered a lot of their chances..thankfully.

Ronaldo was brilliant today, some of the passes he made were fantastic, but he did start to fade towards the end. Silvestre is a liability, I lost count the amount of times he just hoofed the ball and lost possession and surely he knows that you have to be goal-side when marking an attacker :nape:

We should have 2nd now though, but we need to sort out the centre before we can think about 1st place next season, Spurs' midfield really showed us up.

You can't really buy a 21 year old player and send him to the youth teams , the guy was destined to be a flop from the day we got him.

The tottenham game was a great game to watch , terrible defending from both teams but entertaining , tottenham deserved more though but poor finishing let them down.

Just a note on Bellion

A player who deosn't make the Sunderland Team getting bought in the firstplace :S another Player we can add fo Fergie's Wrong-Buys.

I will still always remember him - as the guy who scored the 6th on Rooneys Magnificent Debut... :p
