Ronaldo retains his PFA player of the year. Congrats to him and i'm expeting massive performances from him in the last 4 games of the season.

Fabregas got the young player of the year. So, Ronaldo is the best player in the league, but Fabregas is the best young player in the league. Man, the players that voted are definietly a confused little bunch.

That shows that Ronaldo is acknowledged by his fellow peers that "He is not a kid anymore".

With all due respect to Cesc, he did display a "Young Player of the Year" performance, but Ronaldo is on a different level than him...

Am I the only one terrified of Barca at home. They have a huge advantage with 0-0. They can score, I'm afraid it's Milan all over again.

It seems no matter how good we are domestically we succumb to some major pressure in Europe.

Absolutely I don't see what the problem is either..if anything it's a good thing for Ronaldo, it means that he's not seen as a youngster anymore..

and Fabregas did deserve a mention this season, if only for the brilliant first half-season by Arsenal.

Lucky for the baseball teams the MLB wasn't trying to stamp out violence in the game, the FA wont look kindly on this. i expect a fine for both teams. the greater of the 2 will be payed by the party that provoked the incident.

I really hope we win. Anyone heard anything about Saha? he's just totally dropped off the radar. I guess that would be wishful thinking that he might come on a super sub a score a crucial goal. He's done it before. Sadly he's probably tripped on a blade of grass and broke his hip bone or something daft.

Anderson was playing amazing at the Chelsea game. And then was taken off, It could of been said he was the best player we had on the pitch at that moment. There must of been a reason SAF took him off I.e. he proved himself to be considered a starter for tonight game. Maybe nice for him to get his first goal vs Barca. Now that would be a confidence boost for the lad.

What exactly happened to Vidic. I was in the pub at the time talking, completely missed it. They didn't seem to show a reply either, unless I missed that too.

Looked like he got hit in the mouth? I was thinking he chipped or had a tooth knocked out? They wouldn't keep him out a game for that would they? Must of been something more too it?

The way Rooney was grabbing his side, he's probably out. Roo and vidic really haven't had the best of luck. Must be about the 3rd time this season for both of them. I think its really effecting Rooney's goal scoring form having to stop start.

Must be due to there aggressive nature to dive head first and think after.

Ade, be fair mate. Drogba had one hop after the contact with Vidic and then called the refs attention to Vidic's injury.

Mind you Drog did flop around on the ground too many times for my liking, during the game. If he wasn't so embarrassing he would be funny. His behaviour in the last couple of games has been very questionable indeed.

I found this about the "warm down" fracas. I never knew about this Premier League rule concerning warm downs.

it's not just abt the teeth etc..i think his head-skull MIGHT hurts alot.it's like muay-thai u know...(some sort of thai kick boxing) & he ended up on stretcher.

aye, he's not the only player who does it. I put up a diving thread recently that I thought was quite funny. So many players doing it these days. I'd wish they bring in a video Ref.

interesting, seems like political correctness going mad, accept with stupid rules. As if ground staff having to wait for people to warm down should be a problem. Its not like they don't get paid enough. If I worked there I'd string it out longer to get paid more Or maybe that's why they introduced the rule...

******* 'A' were in the final! They turned it on a lot more this game on the attacking front, but barca got me really worried towards the end.

Was it me or was Ronaldo not his usual self... again. More then a few times I just saw him walking instead of running, pressure, pressure that he normally gives us.

Messi looked really good on the dribbling front. He's really good at that. Its like the ball was glued to his feet at times. He was easily the best player Barca have. Seemed to be there only player wanting it.
