In all honesty United have to buy a striker in the summer and offload Louis - I mean the guy is made of glass. It's a shame because I really rate him as a top class player, but he simply is not reliable.

We'll be linked with every player who scores a goal from now till EURO2008 ends, but the player I'd love us to get is Dimitar Berbatov. Karim Benzema looks a good player too, but Lyon have a history of playing silly beggars with us and I could see Benzema going to Chelsea or Arsenal ahead of United (although I believe he wants to go to Spain first)

I think everyone agrees we missed the boat with Torres last summer.

Not really. It was either Torres or Tevez and Anderson/Nani. The board wouldn't agree to spend all that money on Anderson, Nani, Hargreaves, loan Tevez and get Torres as well. If we had Torres, then we wouldn't have had Tevez. So really its who do you want more?

Champions League quarter-final draw:
1 Arsenal v Liverpool
2 AS Roma v Man Utd
3 Schalke 04 v FC Barcelona
4 Fenerbahce v Chelsea

Champions League semi-final draw:
1 Arsenal/Liverpool v Fenerbahce/Chelsea
2 Schalke/Barcelona v AS Roma/Man Utd


I had a feeling we'd get Roma - I have an uneasy feeling Roma may be about to exact revenge for the mauling we handed them last year.

Then Schalke or Barca in the Semi, meaning that we are more than likely to meet a Premiership rival in Moscow. (I can't see Fenerbahce really beating Chelski)

Not a bad draw but not a good one either because they will have known which of our players to look out for. Can't be overconfident because they have grown stronger for the past 3 months and it will also depend on how close they are to Inter. Anyway, I like this Luciano Spaletti (sp?). He puts out a full team in a match that counts for nothing just to win the match. That's the winning mentality that SAF should go with. If we play for a draw, we will lose it.

And look out for this name, Vucinic. He's a Montenegrin who scored against us last year. Everyone is hyping about Benzema that they forgot there are other strikers capable of doing a quality job for United.

lol, I admit we got a good draw so far, but I don't think that Fenerbahce is the same type of team as Olympiakos, I'd rather draw Schalke than Fenerbahce...

Is it just me or why are Utd fans talking about signing players from the teams that they are facing, e.g - Benzema(vs Lyon) now Vucinic(vs Roma)...
not that I'm saying its wrong or anything but have respect for the opposing team's fans, know what i mean......you've guys got probably the best playing front 4 players..........and you've got Manucho coming back as well

The Roma team we rolled over at OT last season is playing much much better football now.Having said that,we have also grown in strength.

Roma's 4-5-1,'No-Striker' formation is really something.I think they are one of the few if not only big european team to use this formation successfully.The way they wrap up Real Madrid home and away was truly classic.Soak and strike,counter attacking football.

I agree with Mirko Vucinic being quality.He's ordinary to be honest but he has that knack of scoring goals,being at the right places and playing the right passes.Kinda reminds me of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.I think we were looking at him a couple of months back.

The Brasilian twins Rafaele and Fabio are already with us.They moved to england with their family a month ago.I think they are currently training with our youth team before making a mark with the reserves.Also look out for Rodrigo Possebon.He might make a good partner with Anderson in our midfield in the future.

What do you know about us? I've watched both Benzema and Vucinic way before the media overhyped/will overhype them. And it's pure coincidence that they will face us. What's next? Kenny Miller?
