Carrick or Scholes is going to defend the entire width of the pitch? Fletcher maybe. Don't see many wide diamonds anymore, because it's so hard for the DM.

Kagawa can pass, but he actually seems more to me like a player with end product. Maybe like Lampard kind of? Not a striker, but not a creator either, and also doesn't make piercing runs as a "false 10", but he's always in the right spot to finish off a move, or find someone else to do that.

Kagawa can play on the wing too. I hope Ferguson doesn't buy him to play him on the wings like he did with Park. :nape:

I think its time to switch to 4-3-3. For that we need top class central midfielders. If Scholes and Carrick maintain the same form they have shown this season, they could do the job for this coming year. Then we need a definite replacement for Scholes. I'm sure Cleverley will be up for it by that time. We have Anderson and Pogba too. We'll see how they develop.

I'd be funny if he breaks out in Juventus. How many players would that make that Ferguson has overlooked? (H)

No it wouldn't be funny. Because Ferguson wants to keep him. If Ferguson didn't want to keep him, he'd be long gone. He wants to leave himself, probably influenced by his agent too. What can Ferguson do if he wants to leave? Give him a 20 000 pounds weekly salary? Ferguson is not an ass kisser.

I think more Kaka like but he can work hard in defending if needed. He has this tendency to vanish at times but he is almost always in a good position to play a final pass or score himself as you say. Top player.

United would need a partner for Carrick in midfield though if they switch to a 4-2-3-1 which would be more suitable for Kagawa. Someone who plays a good first pass out of defense(mostly vertical instead of sideways),can keep the ball and carry it to the forward players. If Cleverly develops and stays fit could do it may be or probably you could sign a Modric or Sahin.

Yeah, Kaka isn't a bad comparison. He had more "flair" as they would say in FM than Kagawa, but his dribbling was always assumed to be better than it was just because he was Brazilian. Shinji is obviously not as good as prime Kaka, but same style.

Anyway, feel free to pre-order your new jersey today

Japan international Shinji Kagawa revealed Wednesday that he had met Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson

EDIT: I tell ya what, Kagawa's stats this year for Dortmund are comparable to Kaka's best years at Milan. And he's like 23 years old. He could be a serious star. Not a winger though, I don't care if he's technically capable of playing it. He seized that #10 away from Gotze for a reason, and it was before the injuries.

If Kagawa breaks out big time at United he is going to be worth so much money marketing to them, compareable to the boost Madrid got with CR7

what are you doing, stop it. I'm starting to believe the hype machine. Will be heart wrenching if he flops or worse yet... doesn't sign.

@Shifty- I think Kaka was faster actually and probably better at shooting from distance. I don't think he was much better than Kagawa in other stuff tbh and you can't be that quick as you age.

Kinda funny, total fixation with United. Most people congratulate, talk about the epic season, the great games. City Fans more interested in Trolling United... Even the players.

There really is this unhealthy fixation with City over United.

I'm not talking just about you, I'm talking about United fans in general. Fergie used to say the same stuff as you, that City are too fixated on United and need to focus on themselves. Yet every week there would be an interview where he would feel the need to bring City up for no reason. Your fans are no different, and I know this from experience.

If you say so, I've never met any. Maybe its the age gap.

*edit* Jesus your 24!
