It's kind of cool but I'm not sure if our debts go in right direction. I think United should play a bit more aggressive in transfer market if we really want to be a top team in England and Europe again. We go out of most transfer races as soon as the first rival arrives.

United remain top of Forbes rich list
top 10 list:
1. Manchester United (Football) - $2.23 billion
2. Real Madrid (Football) - $1.88 billion
3. New York Yankees (MLB) - $1.85 billion
3. Dallas Cowboys (NFL) - $1.85 billion
5. Washington Redskins (NFL) - $1.56 billion
6. Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB) - $1.40 billion
6. New England Patriots (NFL) - $1.40 billion
8. Barcelona (Football) - $1.31 billion
9. New York Giants (NFL) - $1.30 billion
10. Arsenal (Football) - $1.29 billion

Arsenal is a surprise there.

Okay, you can't claim poverty and then offer 38m for some asshole in Brazil. If you're going to spend that kind of money, spend it on ******* Modric.

United offered 25 for that asshole and they withdrew after Inter and Real joined the race. I think Sir Alex will wait for next transfers in August and till the end.

Brazilian clubs became so greedy, they need 40+ for each talent, I like it when their economy was not good ;).

It's the fault of european clubs for accepting the demands. Those players will leave on Bosmans eventually. I'm not even sure this is a very good generation of Brazilian players.

Brazilian advertise too much on their talents, just look at Neymar, you can't see a day without former Brazilian interview which compared him to Messi. I really like the other way, which they arrived in Europe and played for a lower level teams and then high profile teams like Romario ,Ronaldo and Rivaldo.

I wouldn't buy one of them for these prices. I don't care how good they seem in that ****ty league where no one gets closed down.

No disrespect, but 50% of goals are based on keeper and defenders childish mistakes, e.g. look at Atletico MG 4-3 win last week. I have to admit there are some wonder goals among the other 50% as well.

Team Captain
Ferguson said that he plans on using Robbie Brady as backup for Evra for the LB spot. Not sure what to think about that. Maybe he won't have to be used at all because Evra is always fit. Ferguson also mentioned Tyler Blackett as another option. Lets hope they are able to step up for the first team if they ever get to play.

The actual quote for the Brady comment was:

"With Robbie [playing at left-back], it's an interesting experiment. He's got a good attitude, is strong and had a good season with Hull. It's a worth a try but I'm not saying it's going to be the answer to that position, but it's definitely worth a try." LINK

So who knows. I'm hopefully we'll sign Baines, but closer to £10mil than the rumored £18mil.

I wouldn't mind Baines for 10.
Apparently we're being linked with a 20million bid for Van Persie. Any thoughts on that?
I personally would rather have us spend elsewhere.

I think van Persie is a bad investment for just about every club. Juventus and I guess now Milan would be the only exceptions because they lack a great striker.

As Fergie said, he plans to buy another one player. But, it'll be either a DMF or LB, imo. Too many AMF, and lack of LB after Fabio goes on loan, and Brady just too young.

Let's see what will happen

Watching the game yesterday, Brady definitely isn't an LB. He's a winger. Blackett, who came on in the second half at LB, looked very composed and a very good prospect. But definitely not ready for full first team yet. Lingard impressed too.

But hey, first preseason game so can't say too much.
