I dont know that you desperately need a player like him, Di Maria cant stay dodgy forever and Young seems to be quite effective all of a sudden. Sure, you can use him, and he will hopefully make an impact, but it's hardly the position where you are most in need.

You're probably right and we have Nani, who has had a decent season as backup. This won't be good for Januzaj's development. He'll have to go on loan.

Which is perfectly natural. Afellay and a huge brigade of Dutch players shone bright and bombed hard. Kuyt was one of the more successful ones.

You think so? If this does happen then I hope it's just a loan, because he's got a bright future ahead of him in my opinion. Perhaps being a starter for a team like Everton (not that I'm calling them bad) would do him some good.

And Az Afellay seemed like a pretty good talent at PSV, but the injuries riddles his career and joining Barca was a mistake imo.

From the shit I remember of affelay before barca he was rated way more than depay, I remember his coaches saying he was too good for the league and needed to play in unfamiliar positions like DM just to test himself and develop

Depay is different though. Kind of reminds me of CR, and he's still very young and a move to a bigger league is just what he needed right now. I have absolutely no doubts in his abilities.

How many doubts did you have about Di Maria's abilities?

None, Di Maria is class and I was actually hoping that we'd get this guy from Madrid last summer or even before that. It's just that van Gaal doesn't really know how to use him. But I think he should be tested in the Fellaini role, he hasn't played so well lately and isn't exactly used in a defensive position either. I think Di Maria could excel in that role or at least it would be worth a try.

Indeed, Ashley Young again out of all people winning the penalty and making the assist for Fellaini's goal. This was just difficult to watch, also de Gea was fucking fantastic.
