Max number of bids

Hey everyone

Is there a way to change max # of bids in the transfer window? I am familiar with filemaster, and I thought that changing max buys and max sells in the career.ini would do it, but it didnt - in the august transfer window its still at 3 bids. Any ideas? There has got to be a way to do this.

The number of bid points is held in the manager table in the manager mode data file, so it is possible to change it given an understanding of the layout of that file, some skill with a hex editor and an understanding of the IEE-754 floating point number format

However, I'd guess that the easiest way to increase the number of bid points you have is to change the BID_POINT_INCREMENTS parameter. This can be found in CAREER.INI, so either edit with File Master (or similar) or create a USER.INI in your FIFA 07 directory and add the following two lines:

BID_POINT_INCREMENTS = 0.3

This is the default value and my observation is that it results in .3 of a bid being added to your total for each day that passes (irrespective of whether or not your team has a game on any given day). I've not tried changing it, but the parameter name can be found in the .EXE file, so it is very probably used.

You could also try adding an INITIAL_BID_POINTS parameter (also after the CAREER header) and setting it to some high value and seeing if that affects the points you start each transfer period with (it exists in the .EXE, but not in any INI file, and might only have an effect at the very beginning of manager mode).

excellent.. I wasnt sure what that bid point incriments line did, but now I understand completely. Will try changing it and see what happens.
