Max Payne was/is one of the best action games, I'm defenitely looking forward to Max Payne 2. I haven't been able to find any news on the game though but I don't think it will be out till late 2003/early 2004. The Max Payne web site isn't up yet either (http://www.maxpayne2.com).

On a side note. True Crime: Streets of L.A., a game slightly similar to Max Payne in terms of action and according to its developer 10x bigger than GTA Vice City will be released later this year. The late part of 2003 is defenitely mouth watering as far as PS2 owners are concerned!

"Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

Yes that appears to be the full title of the Max Payne sequel to be unveiled at E3.

A Press Release from Rockstar Games, the publishing division of Take 2 who are producing Max Payne 2 reads:

May 12, 2003--Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing division of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO - News) is proud to announce Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne, the next installment in the blockbuster Max Payne franchise.
Developed by Remedy Entertainment, Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne for the PC is expected to hit retail shelves Fall 2003.

When Max Payne debuted in July 2001 as an award-winning, best-selling PC game, it revolutionized the action genre with its cinematic combat sequences fueled by the groundbreaking use of slow motion and compulsive narrative-driven gameplay. Later that year, console audiences were equally impressed by the stylish, urban, revenge-driven story of a fugitive cop with nothing to lose and Max Payne went on to achieve "Greatest Hits" status on PlayStation®2 and "Platinum Hits" recognition on Xbox®. Now, the highly anticipated Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne for the PC will be unveiled to an extremely select audience by invitation only at this year's E3.

Details regarding the release of the console versions of Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne will be made available at a later date.

So that means us riff-raff who may visit E3 won't see anything, we'll just have to wait until it's splashed over all the games mags and sites wont we; but heck, we only have to wait until the autumn to play it! "
