so true, although if they ever WERE let in, they should be made to start from the lowest league possible (like AFC Wimbledon) and forced to play all their matches away so that visiting teams don't have to fork out sh'itloads of transport money etc.

haha. celtic arent even good enough for the SPL let alone the Premiership. last season they lost to aberdeen, hearts and hibs at home and i predict more after the fúcking shíte players they have added to there squad!!

I think a little geography lesson is needed...

Rangers and Celtic are both based in a country called Scotland. Manchester United is based in England (that big country below Scotland on a map). The US is in a continent called North America across a big ocean (the Atlantic Ocean). The US is not part of England even if a greedy cunt buys a club there. I have got a map I can post if you need it explained further...

I couldn't agree more!

Well, except for one thing.It's not called the English Premier League and in fact when the Football League itself was formed by William McGregor, (a Scot btw) he deliberately didn't include the word ENGLISH in the name in the hope that the top Scottish teams, who were by this time already professional in an amateur age, would join.

what are u talking about o what united lost to norwich so united should be in the championship shut up or liverpool lost to burnley and if you want to say all that what about when celtic beat blackburn and liverpool in the uefa cup or did you forget about that

celtic and rangers should be in the prem they will not be able to progress if they are playing poor teams and then the other scottish teams can play in europe.

You know I was at the friendly between Celtic and Fulham, and it really drove home which side deserved to be in the top league in the world. The Celtic support outnumbered the Fulham support (at Craven Cottage!) and Celtic outclassed Fulham despite the 0-0 draw. Please, don't try and argue that Celtic and Rangers are inferior to Norwich, Crystal Palace, West Brom, Southampton, or even Fulham, Portsmouth, and Blackburn (and Newcastle :D). I simply think that the gap between the top, middle, and bottom of the Premiership is much, much too extreme and the addition of the Old Firm would help alleviate this problem.

As for the stupid "It's the ENGLISH Premier League!" argument, all I have to say is, AS Monaco.

some of you are idiots. both Old Firm teams have 50,000+ seat capacity, Rangers with a UEFA 5-Star stadium in Ibrox. both teams have massive following. both teams have their own television channels(only Chelsea and Man U in the EPL do). the reason the Old Firm hasnt been doing well in Europe is because of money. West Brom gets 20 million in tv money while Rangers+Celtic get 2 million, wtf?. if the old firm teams did move they would be a force to be reconned within a few years. thats why the English teams like Villa and Blackburn dont want them in. both teams bring support in numbers to away matches. ask the Ipswich support what they think. Rangers support sang the whole game in a recent friendly in which the Gers end was packed.
