Thought about it, but can't say I have the knowledge to navigate through DBmaster's interface and swap Smolov for Dzyuba, or add new stadiums to the game.

Cheers mate great advice! I only used overlay_*073 to create a hybrid, looks much better now. Though I find it hard to believe Ariel didn't include substitution graphics in MWM popups?
Also do you happen to know if the mirrored away logo is my personal issue or everyone has it?
Then with a bit of editing I created this V2 which looks more like the real TV version

It's because is only way to have realistic scoreboard with flags. Flags are used to be like team colors, and when you creating scoreboard colors are used to be reflected so it can be simetric. Thats why flags are mirrored.
Probably can be fixed with hex edit.

If I remember correctly these issues were discussed and maybe even fixed back in the days of FIFA Infinity Patch WC2014 by @2208binho @MonkeyDragon and @Evolution
Home and away teams would use different logos (or maybe it exactly got mirrored)
