Hi, i have installed MW mods, (3.1.0, 3.5.0, 3.6.0, 3.7.0, 3.8.0) ... Everything is ok, i can play match, but when i try to start manager mode, the game crash. How can i solve it?

It's easy mate, open your db with CM master, make all your changes then, make a copy of your edited db, then open MWM selector & make your choose... now what selector does it's to pick his db on Moddingway folders and copy to "...\Game\data" folder so delete that db and put your edited db instead that, now run the game that's all.

For Tournaments it's the same.

By the way, all people say that in the last patch some gk have bare hands but no one says who ones XD, just one people said the gk of Guangzhou Evergrande, I saw into the db and seems like Ariel forgot to put gloves, open with CM Master and put gloves, that's all.

I'm usin' the last 7.0 Matrix DB. In carrer mode, I win the Libertadores with a argentinian team, but there's not Club World Cup in the next season....Anybody knows why?

I don't have any other problem. I have every official update and the patch is correctly installed, on a clean FIFA.

The solution is to disable line:
//FREE_ROAM_BALL_ID = 300
Moreover I lost almost every match on professional level. I use cl.ini and hybrid files. I don't use database patch. Could anybody tell me why fidel gameplay is sohard? I remember that it was too hard on fifa 11 and fifa12 as well. For fifa12 I used Immersion gameplay which with a little tuning give perfect gameplay and difficulty level to my need. This year I didn't try. What might be wrong that cpu is such difficult in fidel patches??? I am playing fifa games since 1998 so for sure this is not the matter of my skills. Something is wrong with fidel patch. He makes too hard cpu level or the bug is that I don't use database, only cl.ini and hybrid files???
The things which don't suit me is that:
- it is hard to tackle ball from cpu when he is dribbling and attacking
- when I tackle ball opponent run fastly to me and gain the ball back within few seconds, so cpu agression is too high
- it is difficult to dribble, pass opponent. CPU should have a bit reduced tackle skill.
Maybe instead of creating patches somebody could explain to all of us the most let's say 50 valuable parameters from cl.ini so in this way everybody can tune gameplay to his need.

Okay, so yesterday on Moddingway forums I reported that Zakaria Bakkali and Massimo Bruno are missing from squads in 7.0 Database and today I got banned for spamming? Is that how you react to bugs?

I tried to use CM 14 to edit the World Cup database because some referee names were a bit wrong and I wanted to change that, among with putting more accurate player shirt names, and when I wanted to save the db it said an error occured.

By the way, how do I make a copy of my edited database if I can't save it in the first place?

Hi, that's because World cup DB have special tournaments, so CM14 would not work because of that. You need to use another files of tournament then open your db with CM14, but if you don't know what you do is better to do nothing.

Hi there!

I have original game on Origin and I followed all the instructions.
All the Database seems working good, my problems are with DB 7.

With 4.8.0 AIO + DataBase 7 turkish cups are "undefined", I don't see FIFA tournaments tab and few ball names are missing. All the other things are perfect and updated.

Adding 4.9.0 and using DataBase 7 in the latest leagues updated (Belgium, Argentina and Scotland) all the players have the 3 same traits (Long Passer, Acrobatic Clearance and Team Player + Up For Corners on all GK). Turkish cups "undefined", no FIFA tournaments tab and some balls name missing again. All the other things are perfect.

Using DB 6 all seems perfect (except again some balls name), here I have all the tournaments with the right names (FIFA, UEFA, National Cups etc.) but there isn't the Turkish cups tab, is this normal?
On this DB (I can't try on the 7 because I don't see FIFA tournaments in it) in Copa Libertadores every direct matches finish on penalty shoots even if aggregate score isn't tie. Others tournaments don't have this problem.

After switching from DB6 to DB7 (reset squad, etc.) I have now FIFA tournaments tab instead of Turkish cups tab, but again "undefined".


I tried every possible way to fix this, with a new clean install, also tried installing from 3.0.0 AIO to 4.8.0/4.9.0 or using regeneration to install, everytime exactly the same problems.

Can someone help me?


I noticed that the background of my moddingway selector and installer are messed up, I run them everytime with admin privilege, could be them the problems source?
Anyway they seems to work good, for example using the DB World Cup all is perfect, also the balls names...so I am almost sure the main problem is on Database 7.

Career "dead ends"

I have been using ModdingWay as base for several other patches (like e.g. Ukrainian league for Fifa 14). I would install the patches, activate the DB I am going to use and then edit the database in CM14, in particular to make changes to some players' potential, perform some transfers that have taken place since the patch was released etc.

With this setup I start my career. This works just fine. But after a few seasons (no clear pattern) I would come to a point where I won't be able to continue my career because the game will always just silently crash to the desktop. It can be before a match or just some date between matches that I cannot get beyond - using the calendar for a time jump will not help either.

I have had this problem with several installations of Fifa 14, several patches (e.g. I used to use the EEP for a Ukrainian league before, same problem there), hence I do not think that the patch based on ModdingWay is the problem here.

Probably it's my editing, but if that is the case I don't really understand what I am doing wrong.

Has anybody found out what causes these crashes and what I can do to avoid them? It is so frustrating to never see your favourite players grow to their full potential because you never get that far in your career.

I try to re instaled the patch & also the CM but it still gives me this error

It was working ok before....
