Barcelona, a million times. Busquets is vermin. They think they are a law unto themselves. Real are obvious hate targets, but Barcelona are every bit as bad. They are worse losers than Real as wellm which is very hard to do.

I echo some of the sentiments about Barca. Sure they are a great club and currently a fantastic team but the whole holier than thou attitude is a little annoying. And yes they aren't gracious in defeat and their fans sure aren't gracious in victory.

I find it hard to full on hate a club these days because personnel does come and go and it's mainly them I direct my vitriol towards. For example I don't like Arsenal these days but Seaman, Wright, Adams are some of my favourite players.

Barca can't pick up the award here though... I'd go with Chelsea. At the moment they are a vile collection of petty c*nts and cheats. Horrible to watch.

Im pretty sure that people voting for United are Liverpool/City/Arsenal/Chelsea fans. In any other league, people don't really hate United that much, its all rivalry. Whereas, you will find Real haters everywhere

Hahahahaha!!!! You can believe that if you want to, but it's not true.

There are United haters all over the planet. The last time I checked, ManU is the most successful club over the past 20 years. Madsh*t went through a 4 year stretch when they were winning. Other than that, they've done sh*t all on the field, over the past 2 decafdes. Their off-the-field exploits(media coverage/publicity stunts....parading new signings around, etc.,etc.), if anything, result in garnering of more support rather than hate among casual(who are also possibly neutral) fans of the sport. Yet they still don't win sh*t. United win, sell shirts, make money, sell some more shirts, make more money, win some more. And that goes on and on and on..............

In terms of the followers of the sport, Real will never match United's off the field "market" share..never, and that forces United down the throats of non-United/English Club fans.ex: Inter fans in Hong Kong, Aston Villa fans in South Africa, Werder Bremen fans in Vancouver,Washington or AEK Athens fans in Melbourne, AUS. Those fans' own clubs aren't represented nearly as well as Manchester United, in the places where they live/shop/visit. What irks those fans is Real thinking they can buy titles(a concept that has fallen flat on its face since 2003) by stealing other clubs' best players(yet they still don't win!), taking a lot of the sting out of what they stand for. The same can't be said about ManU. This poll in 2006, after the World Cup, would have had Chelsea at number one....not Real.

ManU is a global brand. Real is lumped together with the likes of AC Milan, Bayern, Juve, etc. in the chasing pack. Their Galacticos policy might have moved them to the front of that pack, but the point is that they are still not at United's level much less ahead of them. In terms of player value, they're number one but take away half the superstars and they'll struggle to keep up with ManU.

The more you watch United win, the more you hate them. Everyone knows who ManU are. ManU is a global brand. The more you see their brand, the more you hate them because you know what it represents.

I'm pretty sure Madrid is bigger worldwide than Manchester United. I don't even think it's that close.

Real Madrid is by far the biggest club in the world, Man United are not even close to them, Man United doesn't even have a glorious past like Real, they start being giants in the past decades . Real Madrid were the biggest club since their birth to the present, in fact they are the founders of Champions League and the most glorious club ever.

Barcelona's players (except maybe Pique) and coach have always been humble. It's the fans.

It's also a little ridiculous to call the whole team bad losers because some dude somewhere in the stadium flipped the sprinklers on.

How about the nonstop whining their players put on the media after a game does not go their way? Also very annoying on the field with their boring pass the ball to death play, its basically Spain but with a better attack do to Messi being able to finish and not to mention the diving/whining to the refs in about every game.

Anyway for me it's either Sevilla ( full of divers (altho the biggest one left for Barca) and a retard president ) and Barca.

Maybe, I'd just think that Real's arrogant attitude of buying whoever they want to would have other fans hate them aswell. But i haven't talked to people personally, that you might as well be right.

Shifty, Ulysses: Real indeed do have a richer history than United or any other club in the world. The Champions League basically has a Real Madrid stamp on it and being rented out most years to other teams. However, in terms of global brand I think newbie is right, as United has been voted as a most expensive franchise in the world for like the past 7-8 years, even ahead of NY Yankees.

And people hate Chelsea because some dude just keeps pouring money into the club, and some dude at Madrid ruins the transfer market. If you work for the club, you represent the club, especially if you're entrusted with something that could be broadcast worldwide. It doesn't matter if it was Laporta, Pep, or some random, low-tier worker who did it, it was still a Barca action.

I personally hate Barca because of the fans (not just SG), and this attitude that they're the Gods' gift to football, when really their manner of playing bores the crap out of me.

I'm surprised people think Barca are boring. I find them pretty entertaining. I think it's the cutting edge of their foreign strikers that set them apart from the national team, who can't seem to turn possession into attack. Messi, Eto'o, Zlatan, etc have always entertained the hell out of me.

It depends sometimes there great to watch... other times there dull. Pass, pass, pass all the way to the front of the pitch, cant get through, so they pass, pass, pass all the way back to the goal line and back again. Or worse yet, pass, pass, pass the ball around for 10 minutes, get to the front and lose the ball.

You ever seen that Simpson's episode where they take the micky out of football and all the players are just standing there passing the ball on the spot... of course I'm over exaggerating the problem but you get the idea, not always entertaining to watch.

Great episode. Pele's pregame "speech" is great too.
