Squad numbers have been confirmed. Zlatan gets Martial's number 9 and Martial takes number 11. Zlatan number 9 is important mainly for marketting reasons.
I'm glad Januzaj got unstripped of number 11 because he simply hasn't shown that he can take Giggs's number. He is massively overrated and I don't think he will be a success here.
Bailly takes Evra's number 3 and Micki takes Scholes's 22.
I didn't watch Dortmund trashing of ManU but I'm not surprised.

Typical revision of history from Scholes. Pogba left because of Scholes coming out retirement it wasn't mainly a money issue. I'm convinced Fergie sends out his acolytes to speak out for him whenever he feels threatened by new developments.

Yeah, that's been debunked so many times. Pogba didn't care about the money, and if he did he certainly wouldn't have ended up at Juventus who are notoriously frugal.

I agree with Scholes that Pogba is nowhere near this kind of money. He will not have the same impact as Messi or Ronaldo for their clubs.
Bringing Scholes out of retirement was senility [/ShiftyPowers]; huge mistake from Ferguson in a period when there were midfielders lacking. Pogba's wage demands were something like 23k and there is no way Ferguson or even LvG would accept these demands for a teenager who played just 7 games as a substitute. Even Rashford was still earning 500 pounds a week until recently when he signed a new contract after the season had ended.
If Ferguson had given Pogba the chance then maybe he would have shown enough to justify the 23k salary. We let Pogba go for free and Pique for only 5 millions. We also let Rossi go but he wouldn't be playing anyways because he is always injured.

Martial is apparently pissed off that he had number 9 taken off and Man U didn't ask him permission before giving it to Zlatan. After he was switched to number 11, he launched his personal brand "AM9", changed his facebook cover picture to him wearing number 9 and unfollowed Man U on Twitter.
I hate this kind of attitude. Man U should have asked him first but its just a number and he should be grateful to be wearing Giggs's legendary #11. George Best also wore the 11. He also wears 11 for France.

It shows a lack of respect for him as a man. Zlatan should have asked him and paid him off with something; it being Zlatan, probably a Ferrari. That's how this kind of thing is always done in the NFL at least.
