Yes good 2nd half performance. Now we have a lot of depth after the acquisition of the 3 players. Lets hope we don't get into injury crisis again. 22 players played and both sets of team played very well.

Valencia made 3 assists. He is better and more consistent than Darmian and should start. LvG made the right decision to convert him to a right back because as a winger he was very limited. Could only use his right foot.

Mata played well when he came on and I hope he stays. He will be an invaluable player as backup because I don't think Mourinho will start him.

140 Mill. €. spent on midfielders over the years. Now we will be spending another 130 Mill. € on a single player. His partner will be one of those above which is kind of sad. I was hoping the other midfielder would have been Schweinsteiger but he is leaving. The best partner for Pogba if he arrives is probably Schneiderlin; defends/tackles, very good passing range and long balls but doesn't do much going forward and has no creativity. He won't need to go forward though because it should be Pogba's job.

Zlatan and Rooney both dropped very deep, also can see them struggling cause lack of pace. Martial was shockingly bad. Depay is even more frustrating than Welbeck. Herrera and Schneiderlin never found the form they had at Athletic/Southampton. Blind is a better CB than Jones. RB spot needs and improvement. Mourinho looks like he already regrets taking the job. Should play 3-1-6 when Pogba signs, before that, maybe we can play two in the goal? Would De Gea stick with us in the Championship next year? Can Mkhitaryan do it on a cold Tuesday night at Stoke? We're fucked :)

What did they expect with Mourinho? Fucking Total Football? It's going to be boring as shit and he's going to make World Cup Champions train with the Reserves for no reason. I think his tactical time might be over. The mantle for that brand of football is now carried by Simeone. Mou might be a little outdated.

We dominated possession and had a decent one half. Now we just need to implement some sort of a philosophy which would act as a lighthouse for the players to lead them through the season.

This is true so I am not too much worried about that performance. Remember how we were worldclass in LvG's first preseason and beat all the top teams then we lost the first EPL game and it was the worst start of the season for Man U for like 10 years? Players are also more careful to stay fit and avoid getting injured.

I think Rooney and Zlatan link up very well. Overall boring game, I agree.
