MS Access editing Thread

I have read lots of reports on editing the DB thru MS Access, and have also read that when u add players, u cant do things like decide his team etc.

Ive experimented, and the truth is u can do EVERYTHING. You can add players to teams, u can add new players all together (and decide their team), change player numbers, etc etc.

U can change team formations, player positions and appearance and anything else u want to change!

I have also found that obviously the position numbers correspond to the order they are listed in, in the CC. (they can also be found in one of the other tables in the Access DB).
But they are:
0-GK
1-SW
2-RWB
3-RB
4-RCB
5-CB
6-LCB
7-LB
8-LWB
9-LDM
10-LCDM
11-CDM
12-RCDM
13-RDM
14-RWM
15-RM
16-RCM
17-CM
18-LCM
19-LM
20-LWM
21-RAM
22-RCAM
23-CAM
24-LCAM
25-LAM
26-LF
27-CF
28-RF
29-LS
30-ST
31-RS
32-Sub
34/35-Reserve

Wrong Custom league calendar !

OK here is the problem :
When you create a custom league inside FIFA2003, have you noticed that the calendar is all ****ed up ?!?!

For instance, some teams will have already played 8 matches as others just 2 !!! It seems to be random and it continues like that till the end...

This is completely stupid as you cannot keep track of the real league positions of teams... would there be a way to correct that.... ANYBODY ?? It would be great !!

THANX

Yeah but those threads are huge, and about more than just Access. They often discuss XML and other things. Their is also lots of talk there about ppl not being able to add new players, and decide what teams they are in etc.
I think that now we know of the technique, that a clean thread is needed to discuss what is involved, and anything new that ppl find out about the technique. Things like what the different formation numbers are.

Newer ppl to editing would just get confused at the other thread.

SpideurMane, could u plz, stick to the MS Access topic. This is just generally about the CC, or about FIFA...Posts like this are why we need a thread JUST for Access, to much of this confused things at the other thread ;)

Any of you guys know why my squad numbers and lineup is wrong when I created Sheff Utd in Access? I checked the player links were all correct and the right players were linked with the correct positions. Lukas says it ain't possible to add players in Access, is this correct?

It is definatley possible to add players using access, and setup their numbers, and positions. But whether u can do this with teams u have added, im not sure.

When u add the team, make sure that its formation is setup to the right number (get this from a team with the same formation), than make sure that no players have the same number as each other, and that the positions are EXACTLY as FIFA lists them (if it says RWB in FIFA, put it down as RWB, not RB ;))

Finally when u import the file, dont do anything but the following in the CC.

Package->Uninstall
File->New
File->Save As (whatever u want)
Package->Install

If that doesnt work, than im not sure, but just check that u haev evrything right in access ;)

Dude, I`ve asked this on the previous thread, but there are no satisfying answer, could you help me ?
1. I`m about to use the CC now to install it, will it delete or in any way disaccess me from my saved games ?
2. Would I be able to edit it as many time as I want and reinstall it again without fear of a messed up FIFA 2003 ?
Say, for example : I change things here and there, save it, install it using the CC. Then I go play some matches in season mode, then I realised something`s not right, so I save, quit the game. Then I go opening the database again with access, change and make correction again, then reinstall it again using the CC, would that be possible ? And would the changes I made in the second time, directly applied in my saved games ? BTW if I want to install it using CC, then I must save it as PKG file first, am I right ? Or I can directly install it ?

Could you explain here the step by step instalation for changing the database using the Access way. Thanks for all the answer, and any clues will be greatly apreciated.

Oh, another thing I noticed. I added Wayne Rooney to the Everton squad and although he's number 18, and has been assigned that in Access, he's being given number 14 in FIFA. The reason likely being that 14 was the next free number. It seems the only way around that is to add another player and give him the number 14 ... making the game unrealistic as Everton no longer have a number 14 :(

Reserve Team
hi all

I made a team in the CC. I opened the Access file, and I couldn't find my team anywhere!! why?, Do I have to bulid the team all over again trough access??

thanks

Seems that I can't change my own teams through excel (or access for that matter)...if I uninstall the package and install the one with access_all_data in it will I still have the teams I made with cc? it'd be a shame to lose them...

.

you cant DL Access.

and about the saved games problem, I think that those game will be lose, but you can always back them up (and also the original dbis) and check.

BTW: as it seems that we DO can add new players as Alex said: whats the first number ID we have to give to the first player we create???
and has somebody tryed to create new teams or players yet??
