thanks

Yes, you need to rebuild the team in Access. However, myself and others have found that adding entire teams in access often has the problem of that team having mixed up line ups etc. It only effects that added team though, and can mostly be corrected in the Team Management of FIFA.

Dude, I`ve asked this on the previous thread, but there are no satisfying answer, could you help me ?
1. I`m about to use the CC now to install it, will it delete or in any way disaccess me from my saved games ?
2. Would I be able to edit it as many time as I want and reinstall it again without fear of a messed up FIFA 2003 ?
Say, for example : I change things here and there, save it, install it using the CC. Then I go play some matches in season mode, then I realised something`s not right, so I save, quit the game. Then I go opening the database again with access, change and make correction again, then reinstall it again using the CC, would that be possible ? And would the changes I made in the second time, directly applied in my saved games ? BTW if I want to install it using CC, then I must save it as PKG file first, am I right ? Or I can directly install it ?

Could you explain here the step by step instalation for changing the database using the Access way. Thanks for all the answer, and any clues will be greatly apreciated.

1. Yes, im afraid you will still lost your save games, as these are lost during the installing of packages in the CC, which is still needed using the Access method.
2.Yes, you can edit the MS Access DB as many times as you want, and it wont mess up the Database. However, added teams will often have wrong lineups, which will need to be corrected in team management. Added players however have no such problems.

What you have to do is the following:

1. Open, the file dev_all_data.mdb from the CC directory on your computer.
2.Make changes to the file. (Players can be changed in the Players table, Player positions and numbers in a specific team can be added/edited using the little + next to the player id number, and teams can be edited in the Teams Table.)
3. Once you have finished with a table, save that table, and then once you've finished with the database, quit MS Access.
4. Open the Creation Centre (you may get an error on start up, click OK, and it should continue loading).
5. Go to the File Menu, and select New
6. Go to the File Menu and Click Save As.
7. Save the PKG file, as whatever you like.
8. Go to the Package Menu and select Install.
9. Launch FIFA.

Hope this makes things easier ;)

Cheers

It is in the Link_PT table (this stands for Link_Players to Teams), and can be also accessed in the Players Table, by clicking on the little + next to the Player ID number

The reason likely being that 14 was the next free number. It seems the only way around that is to add another player and give him the number 14 ... making the game unrealistic as Everton no longer have a number 14 :(

I had this problem for a while, but than realised that players in most teams cant have numbers over 32 (or they reset back to another number which the game somehow chooses??), and also make sure NO PLAYERS in the one team have the same number. This problem with Rooney sounds like the latter, so i suggest opening the Link_PT table, than going Record-Filter-Advanced Filter and Filtering Only Everton Players. (Not sure on Team ID, check this in the Teams table). The click Filter-Apply Filter. Then check thru the filtered players and check to see if any of the playres numbers are the same.

BTW: as it seems that we DO can add new players as Alex said: whats the first number ID we have to give to the first player we create???
and has somebody tryed to create new teams or players yet??

If ur asking me a question here Hakeem, ive sort of lost u, sorry :p

I asume that if u r asking a question, than it is what is the first ID number we have to assign a new player. Answer: The ID numbers are auto assigned, so just down the bottom, in the last bbox, type in a new players name etc, and he will be added. Click oon the + sign to add him to a team.
Hakeem, if you weren't asking a question, than I hope this helps someone else ;)

thank ye

thanks for the help...losing my teams is going to be a great miss but I can cope...still some questions:
1. can I still use my logos and kits though? and if yes...how?
2. where is the variable I have to change in order to make a captain of a team?
3. will there ever be a programme to make this accessing easier like fifaeditor? (I know there will be some day no doubt...but is anyone working on it now?)

that's it for now ...thanks in advance
glad to finaly post in this funky board...I was lurking around for quite some time

haha, nice way to tie the question into the Access thread. This has nothing to do with Access, as the Access Database isnt used by FIFA itself, but by the Creation Centre.

I believe that it is because when using the Creation Centre, the creation centre creates a "mask" file. This means that it creates a a sub database, which just includes changes to the games Original Database, and not all of the information. This means that the game has to read from both databases, firstly the main one, and then it has to check for changes to it, by looking at the Mask file.
Im not sure that this is the reason for the slowdown, as personally I havent experienced it, but id hazard a guess, and suggest that this is the reason.

Thanks dude, but you know what since this will still delete my saved games I think I`m gonna wait till someone make a good reliable patch for editing like FCDP or ( hopefully ) a CC correction patch from EA. Anyway thanks a lot...:)

thx for the heads up sKIp_E! :)
i guess EA really would've done much better incorporating an FCDB-like editor that deals directly with the fcdb files...

i juz dun get how they could miss a neat piece of work like dat...
instead they create much hype and release a half-assed prog that doesnt do much and then leave us all to figure things out for them...(:/)

hey grassy..sorry abt that death dig...i was juz pulling yr leg..:D

league

Ok, I created a league and I see it in the CC with all the teams, etc.

but I dont see it in the game.
I think that is it coz Im didnt set anything else but the teams in it.
where do I set the stuff for the league like the logos, the month it starts, etc.???

and where is it suposed to be in the game? in New Season or in New Tournament?

Youth Team
hello there

I did my first few attempts with Access...I sorta try to make the most of both programmes...I'm thinking of making all the easy data in access. and afterwards Loading the kits and logos and changing the faces in CC...

Still although I use 0 in all the speechID I get to hear the old belgian names that I've changed in the game. Also although my logo is used inside the game, it's not used outside of it in the picking teams...and the most serious problem of them all...I've changed the stadium in which my team plays to be highbury...but still they play in the closed square style...:(

anyone have any ideas?

PS. I still don't know how to chose a captain

Treebeard

Youth Team
I have almost updated the whole of the Premiership and the results are good but I wondered if anyone had found the values for:

- team captains
- what each boot number represents - the default is 36 but some players have coloured boots
- why I can't give goalies like dudek a short sleeved jersey - I can edit the value but it doesn't show up in the game
