MS Access editing Thread

When i choose a player on the left section the information overlaps the player information on the right side and it's quite confusing.. so i can't use the "all players" section, also things are different like the boot type.. when i don't touch anything it's 0 but when i click a player from the left section and it overlaps the untouched info the boot type is 36..

Well, The Section "all Players" is like a navigation menue, when you choose a player, it's information will be shown on the right. That is how it works,
But you can also use the navigation bar on the top of the form, there you have buttons which will navigate you to the first player, last player, and next and previous player.

All players have boot type 36, and I would also use that number, and leave the body to 0.

No no, do not paste inn the entire Table, just the posts innside the Table!! And try to repair the database:
Go to Tools --> Database Utilities --> Compact and Repair Database...

That opiton will make the database smaller...

plz someone tell me how can i import logos to the teams? i created lokomotiv moscow and when i start a game appears the real madrid logo...

Well mate, it depends if you replaced a team or created a totaly new one. If you replaced it, then you can use FSH Tool to import the badge, but if you created the team, then there is no way to add a logo, yet! The Logo Raptor is underway, so all we can do is wait.

using access i have added a new team (stoke city)

and some players (18 of them)

when i try to install the package

it goes through the saving playes section, wiht no errors (once i had deleted a balnk record i had inadvertadly creatE)

Then it goes through the saving teams section and i get

run time error 3201

Either BOF or EOF is true or the current record has been deleted. requested operation requires a record

Any ideas where i shoudl look please.

this error appears because your new team don't have assigned kits..
you should create new kits in the kits table and assign them to the new team

just to test it, i just gave my teams the numbers from a random team , i just looked down the lsit and picked one

the package is installign as i type this.

Will i now be abale to add the corect kit using kitraptor?

just installed the package and my team isnt there

in CC if i click on creation cetnre teams., i can see my team

but if i make a new competition, it sasy sthe creaction centre teams list is empty

do i have to assign my team to a competition in access and if so, which variable is it please.


I know I am bieng a pain, but once i have learned to do it properly, i can transpose my previously created english first division teams into the database , and hopefully get it working without having to move everythign around in team management every time i make a change

you should assign your team to the rest of the world section in the federations table.next open CC and the team will be in there

It would be a lot easier if you just downloaded a Access Editor. There is mine on www.fifa-bosnia.com or www.fifaecp.com

I have tried that editor before and got all sorts of runtime errors

so i deleted it

now

With regards to putting my team into the federations link table

here is the link_FT sorted by ID

If i put my team in this link table, so that it will go into a team

i get

Debug: unexpected error

description: the changes you have requested to the table were not successful because thjey woudl create a duplicate value in the index, primary key or relationship. change the dta ETC
at the end is the numbers (-2147467259)

If I dont put my team in he linker table, then it isnt in game

any ideas of where I am goin wrong please


I can zip up and send you the database if you give me an email addy to send it to

(i used to br good in access, but thats what happens when you dont use it for a couple of years lol)

this is mad

Made no changes, just went in to the tables and checked the link_FT again

decided there was definately no duplicatre

went into cc again and this time it loaded and there was my team in rest of world

installed package, and went into fifa

My team was there (yay)

BUT

the team management was still all screwed up????????



NOPE that doesent work, I found the table that holds the numbers for leagues and cups, add a few numbers (21 22 23 24 ) and in cc i can now make a league with upto 24 teams. but it gets an error -subscript out of range, when you try to install

If access editing method still messes the team up, whats the point in using it.

Unless you can create new leagues with more than 20 teams in, which im going to try next

Am I doing something wrong here, or does access (our flexible friend) still hate me

Formations being stuffed up, is a sign of team IDs being too high (above 5000 i think is too high for teams. Start at 1800, and work ur way up. Read that adding a team in access tut. of mine for more quick info.

If its not the teams ID that is too high, it could be the players. They also have to be low. Lower then 55000 or something for them..Ive stopped editing somewhat atm, so cant promise u exact numbers, but this is approximatley the values. use under these as ID, and u cant go wrong.

Try my forms then. Available at downloads.soccergaming.com in the FIFA2003-Creation Centre section.

My forms arent as user friendly as maniacs, but because they are less complex seem to have less errors. If you get maniacs working they are most likely better, but mine are easier to get working in the first place (in my opinion ).

Hey over 5000 downloads, with hardly ANY complaints...how could u go wrong (not meaning to be boastful of course :P)

Yeah, but that was weird. I think that was becos u used a beta originally, and over wrote it with the final release. This can cause probs

na i didnt use that one as i was using one of my numerous back ups as you would recall through our many convos on this subject i was always mucking up with database i was using.
