My First Stadium - Anfield

I know i am just echoing what Rhizome said before, but I want to clear myself and not be labeled as a whiner. I certainly want quality rather than quantity, but I also want gameplay. With the release of FIFA 2003 looming in the not so distant future this beautiful stadium will not get the use that is deserves. This is all i was trying to point out. I hope I do not continue to be labelled a whiner and one of those people that kick up a stink when a creator delays something, as I am not one of those people and i realise that doing things like this have lives, as I used to run numerous web sites and it is hard to do something like this. I hope I cleared my name here and won't be labelled a whiner, and if this doesn't clear me I say f*ck you to those people because they are the ones who don't deserve beautiful stadiums like this.

One more thing, Rhizome i must commend you on this stadium and hope that you continue to make stadiums for FIFA 2003, because if you don't it would be a tremendous shame.......

and it still CAN be released for Fifa 2003, i just do not wish to work on it myself now. sure it is half (well, i wouldn't even go that far) released BUT only for fifa 2002, only as clear day and WITHOUT the great contributions you guys have / might make to it. look at it this way. you guys know what you are doing 10x more than me. you also have a reasonable 3d structure that is almost done. that cuts out a fair bit of work on it (i hope). sure you will have to change a few things, I know myself that there are a number of things in the wrong position, and things that you guys would improve. however, you make the point about holding it until fifa 2003. well, I am quite enjoying challenging my liverpool fan mate (the guy I was originally making it for) in friendly mode using this stad, and I don't see the point in making some of these other guys wait. as of now, the stadium (i think) is a reasonable representation of Anfield, for the purpose I was originally building it for. and that is a one-on-one match up. and lets face it. season mode in fifa will never be enjoyable until they incorporate some of the things they have in TCM like player fatigue and injuries carrying over more than they do now, so until that happens fifa = arcade, NOT simulation. so for those that want to play a few games at Anfield before Fifa 2003, I say let them.

yeah. i guess we all actually want the same thing but just get too caught up and emotional abt stuff like dis...i've read every post here and i can see and understand from everyone's point of view..

dun worry man, i never said anything abt ECP scrapping unannounced proj and etc.. i was just pointing it out in general, no disrespect to the pple who have churned out wonderful stuff that makes us want to play fifa, we all have our lives too...and we should respect that

u see, no one was actually whining and it hurts when u are labelled one esp when u've actually helped out in some way or another, we were juz excited abt the release dats all...

cool down guys... that's no point whining.. and it takes time for a masterpiece, look at my own Old Trafford which took almost 9 months to come out.

Besides, Rhizome should continue working on the Anfield and don't ever give it up when you're at the edge of completion. I got news from Rob that the file formats would be unchanged in FIFA 2003, so perhaps you could continue and complete the stadium and release for 2003. I bet your Anfield will be as great as EA's, if not better.

this is all true. BUT
1. I want to see Anfield in 2003 so I can get alot of the positioning right, it is difficult evenwih the pics I have. And I fear a major overhaul may be required.
2. 9 months. yes, it was great when it arrived, but I see no harm in letting a few people use a 'representation' of Anfield in the dying days of Fifa 2002. It is the nature of capitalism and kids (I mean this in terms of maturity, not age), 'see, want, need, NOW!', but I see no harm in letting them have a test ride, they will still want the super-duper bells-on version when it is released. And theoretically anyway the difference between them will be major i.e all weather versions, fifafx compatable etc. And you never know they might stop any whining (I don't include Mr Diouf in this!) if their need for instant gratification is temporarily relieved.
3. I just want a break from Anfield, and if anyone else wants to work on it thats great. I only started this recently and now fully appreciate the time it takes.

i still got a couple more years before getting my degree in architecture...probably explains why i simply adore the beautiful structures of stads in fifa so much..

ironic eh? the sociology grad making the stad for the archi undergrad...if i get the chance, i'd do a thesis on stad making in fifa...tha'd be a whole lotta fun...care to help?

mebe i should build a real stad one day...*chuckle*:p

I can safely say ... I doubt it! Fifa 2003 looks pretty damn fine to me, better than a beginner like I can match. Have to see what we can do with this game though. I would like to have a go at making something for 2003 when the tools for editing are available. Maybe something beautifully symmetrical like ... the new Man City stadium! We shall see.;)
