The Clippers have a great future ahead of them! Brand, Maggette, Simmons, Kamen, Wilcox, Livingston, Jaric. They're in great shape. Lakers are **** outta luck.
Donald Sterling is their owner though, he's f*cked it up before and he'll do it again. And then there's Elgin Baylor..... :p

I saw on some show (I think it's that #1 show on ESPN) which told all the crap that Sterling had done, configuring the side to bring him profit instead of actually setting things up to make the side better overall, etc, etc. Is this true? What's so bad about him?

Yeah, he's pretty greedy and refuses to put much money into the team (I think Brand got a pretty big contract so that might be the exception). He's been doing that since he began owning the team and while they may have some very good young talent, odds are that they won't bring them back when their contracts are up. Like I said, he's done it before and I'm sure he'll do it again.

Well with this loss tonight I think it's pretty much official, the Timberwolves are out of the playoffs this year :nape: (poor bulgarian (H)). The Cavs suck right now I think the Nets are gonna take them out of the playoffs and to be honest I'd rather see JKidd and Carter in the playoffs rather than LBJ and a pathetic supporting cast and I want them in the freakin lottery so that we can get a higher first round pick along with our top 3 pick which we will probably get because of the amount of ping pong balls we'll have in there come lottery time. BTW when is the lottery?

Mickaël Pietrus scored 28 points in 27 minutes last night (H) 6/6 at 3 points throw :) He's amazing in this end of season. He has more and more playing time and he often scores more than 15 points. I hope he'll have an important place with Warriors next year

It's nice to see the Warriors with this 8 game winning streak but because of it they'll end up with a s*it pick in a s*it draft. Nice to see BD playing well again 21.6 points, 11.2 assists, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 steals over the last five games :rockman:.

PS: with the playoffs coming really soon should we open up a playoff thread like we did last year?

Yeah I think we should since this IS the "NBA 2004/2005 Season Thread," if you want to be technical about things.

BTW just to report, not happy about my C's losing to the Nets, but I must say that Vince was sensational. He simply couldn't miss. BTW I can't believe Doc got booted 2 minutes into the game after a 2nd T :nape:

I think it was in late June last year.

the lottery should be during the playoffs... not sure when it exactly is... but last year I think it was during the 2nd round of playoffs.. again I'm not sure

Pitreus is a fantastic player, I almost wish the Warriors would trade him to a team that would use him more. Or that the Warriors would trade Dunleavy or JRich.

The Warriors would be stupid to trade anything they have right now. I think that with the team they have now they will make the playoffs next year and if the way they are playing right now is any indication for next year then yeah it would be idiotic to make any trades. But I'm sure that BD will f*ck up his knee or back like he always does early in the season and screw them over :nape:

Golden State Warriors = Phoenix Suns next year

since they got BD they are averaging over 105ppg it's insane right now they are in a double overtime battle with the Spurs, 136-134 with 3 minutes left

its called emotion and desire. every human being has it. it just shows how much he wanted it. if it was up to me i'd give him the MVP again. he's the best all around player in the nba. he did everything in his power to win.

Too bad he didn't win. Aside from Shaq, my MVP is Iverson. I don't know how many times I've seen a Sixers statline where Iverson had 35 points and 12 assists. I mean, did anyone notice that 48 point 16 assist game? I mean, that's being involved in EVERY point! AI is just amazing.

I agree but I think Iverson should win it anyway just because he is the man. Screw that big fat ass down in Miami give it to AI!!!
