need help with tottenham

i am playing as tottenham but i need help with:
which players to buy and how much for
which players to sell and how much for
which tactics to use
what team should i pick with those tactics

i am using v6.0.3 and i have updated the database as of 11/06/06.
any help will be appreciated

Sorry I can't be much help, but I do know a bit about Tottenham's team.

Defoe is a class striker. Keep him no matter what! He will easily be your top scorer if he gets good support.

The midfiled is good, you might want to look for a left winger.

The only thing I can think of is the defence. You'll want to pick up a good center back atleast.

Paul Robinson is one of the best in the world, and he's young too, so keep a hold of him too.

I don't have that database but I can give you a very good advice to win the league.

'Get more points than any other team in the league to win the league.'

Ok here what you do. Play a 4-5-1 Carrick and Jenas in the middle with Davids behind them. Defoe up front by himself. Have high closing down in the mdifield so you win the midfield battle than give every ball to Defoe and its a goal. The rest im sure you can find out for yourself. Also look to your reserves as they have some decent player but the defence does need some players to be bought into it so get busy.

You should buy Rohan Ricketts(give them 200m just to be on the save side) let him be the goalie and let him run up to the striker position. Guaranteed fun.

Its like Diablo but better, the GK running at the other teams defence works really well in FM.

Have you looked at the tactic? I've got a feeling that 2 defenders and the keeper making runs to the forward line isn't going to be so effective.
