Well it's official that Iran no longer wear Puma, they now wear some unknown brand, I don't recognise the manufacturer's logo, unless it's Ali Daei's company with a new logo or something like that...

The numbers are weird they seem to be some multi-coloured reflective material on the home shirt, and gold on the away.

Iran is taking a big step backwards...Most teams from Asia are now going big with Nike and adidas while they choose to play with an unknown brand.Mind you they are one of the biggest asian team and the lack of a proper attire company is really inappropriate.

That new MLS font looks like a Puma v1.06 ripoff!!

Germany away is surely official...

In addition it'll also have red shorts as opposed to white, and I guess, red socks too. The adidas stripes are gold.

And the new USA home shirt, the thin horizontal stripes remind me of the Nike kits of 2003/2004. But that big white bit on the back ruins it, have FIFA adopted UEFA's pathetic "number clarity (BS)" ruling?

Love the USA kit.

Well they could have worn Puma and look like Ghana clones or they could have worn a brand made from their own country. Besides, wearing super nice jerseys won't win you games or qualify for the World Cup or any major tournament. And I do like the numbers, something unique.

I guess the Iranian federation saw what Puma had planned to make and decided to rip up the contract there and then, and turned to something more homegrown for providing their next kits. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up signing another Puma contract if they qualify for the World Cup in two years time, they did in 1998 and again in 2006 so who knows?

HUGE KIT NEWS

The new MLS font looks like this:

oh no! looks like Real Madrid's font from last season (:/) ... adds another reason to why I am glad I got my Toronto jersey last year ...

just needs 3 X's down the middle, and it would work well as an Ajax third/alternate/cup kit! :p

very classy! (Y) if i was ever going to get a US home jersey, this would probably be the one I'd get ...

indeed very similar to the Barcelona and more so the Man Utd away from that 03/04 season ... the grey bits and collar are what make it slightly different ...

Dunno why but it looks more like a golf shirt (H).

I still prefer the previous Yank shirt though, that was quite decent I thought!

haha, ye, it kinda does look "golfy" ... not a bad thing ... didn't mind the last home shirt either, but I'm definitely in favour of the new one ...

that looks very similar to Italy's EURO 2004 kits (claim for another less-known brand ripping off a bigger brand's design) ... the use of gold font for the away kit only furthers that claim ... not a fan of that rainbow font for the home kit ...

but wasn't there another picture not too long ago of a "new" Iran kit (that was a rip-off of one of the adidas templates), where we were talking about who Puma still has on their roster? and JJ, you mentioned Ali Daei's brand then too ...

it's not known yet if that will be the new MLS font or if they will have it team specific (each team his own)

this one looks a lot like the mentioned real madrid one, aswell as the puma world cup 2006 one IMO

I like the fact the Iran kits are not made by nike, adidas etc... at least they are unique, + recently we only see Nike, Adidas, Puma and Umbro the 1% rest is Errea, Lotto and a few other unknowns...

That Gamba kit could possibly be the new template, the shorts design look a bit like the ones we've seen a glimpse of from that Engl*nd away shirt promo.

Anyway a useful one for kitmakers - Italy home GK kit, in red...

It does resemble the stitching from the Italian kits of four years ago, though with a much bigger crew neck, and the rainbow fonts look sh*t. I did post another new Iran shirt previously, probably some interim design rip-off of the Adidas template (obviously without the stripes) and I did indeed mention Ali Daei's sportswear company in that post. Almost all of the Daei kits I've seen have been ripoffs of other company's designs, from Adidas to Nike and Puma, I hope for their sake they don't rip off the Puma v1.08, that really would be boring! i would imagine those iran kits would be VEEERY uncomfortable to play in in the seering heat of the middle east

and i quite like that new umbro template... if it is going to be used for all umbro teams

Even better (IMO) would be white shorts and green socks like the kits of the 80's.
Would be good, also that combination would bring back shades of 1966 with Eusébio and co. However I doubt Nike would do it, particularly as they tend to differentiate the colours of the shorts on home and away kits.
