What is the extra edition and what is the 06 World Cup update ? Because I haven't found any readme explaining these modes. Thanks :-)

I think it's a beautiful gameplay, the game speed is realistic. Maybe you could add some accelerations (as faster as the ones we can make with our players) for CPU players to make some surprises and kill the match.
You made an excellent work on the GK skills, they play now like real Gk's.
The passing of the CPU is well-balanced and their moves too.
CPU players make good defense (without being an unbreakable wall, it's more realistic !), they tackle more and at the right moment.
It's a pleasure playing with your gameplay, the best of the 6 you created.

dude, i dunno wat went wrong... i installed it to my main fifa folder... durin in game, i can't c a thing! whole screen is black! everythin else is fine where i can still listen 2 da commentaries & da radar!
hope i'll get sum help here...
when i replace the config file wif another config file (can;t remember from which gameplay), it seems 2 do da trick!
mayB by chance it has sumthin 2 do wif da config file?
just my tots...

No please the difficulty is balanced in a wonderful way, just lower your level if you are not able to score enough: the game found its excellent equilibrium now, of course you need a lot of training and skill to properly play at higher levels.

Anyway, standing ovation for this gameplay, really superb, thanks. :lui: :lui: :lui:

I agree with OckHAM, I tried all the levels, they're very well-balanced and you can easily find your own level. Try professional or semi-professional modes for examples, you'll see that you'll be able to score :)

Great patch! First time since FIFA98 that I enjoy a soccer game by EA!

Is it possible to make the goalies stop their foward steps when the ball is crossed? You can easily score in the middle of the goal when the keeper comes
out too much!

Any chance of a World Cup compatible version? I love the new game, but it's just not as challenging as FIFA 06 with your updates.

I've finished my first season with version 6: playing with Chievo Verona in the Serie A league the results have been extremely realistic: for the first part of the season I felt an unknown sensation in Fifa: fighting to avoid relegation :D Wonderful. While the chemistry of the team improved I did a very good second part of the season with very exciting matches. The only strange thing is that I easily managed to play against supposed "superstar" teams, as Inter Milan and Juventus: I won the two matches against Inter (3-0 at San Siro for me!) and I played offensive matches almost dominated against Juventus: has been more hard to play against Empoli or Livorno for example, then against these teams: very strange. Now I'm starting the next year with Santos of Brasil and I'll report how the gameplay will keep working with a better rated team. See ya :)

I have just been away for a few days and returned to this great feedback!!! So happy you guys enjoy it, I will of course tune the injuries Ockham suggested and thank you all who gave me excellent feedback on the betas to create V6 :)

06worldcupupdate is basically V6 for 2006 FIFA World Cup ™, with some slight changes, it's actually more of a converted version, not 'created' for the game, so it won't play as well.

Of course I will work on an update specially for the world cup game, based on the principles of V6 so you guys are challenged :)

Anyway on the overall, Nick, it's important to underline as this is your best creation until now and that version 6 sets a new standard of difficulty and entertainment for Fifa: as I saw how many replies you received with critics for previous versions seems honest for me to thank you for what you obtained: I'm sure the others are too much busy playing Fifa now, and this is why you are not receiving other enthusistical comments ;)

lol well I thank you for your input and others who played the beta and gave their feedback both on this forum and through e-mail. so many requests for the gameplay style, I'm glad V6 stands out as my best. Just shows what feedback can do BEFORE it is released and not after :)

The 'standard' installation currently has a bug, where part or all of the screen is black. This is a bug in the config file and has now been fixed!

I am currently uploading the new V6 with this bug ironed out and will post a new thread to catch the attention of those who may not look in here due to uninstalling V6 and banging their heads on the keyboard to have 'qwerty' tatooed on their foreheads!!

On the other hand, CEP installation works fine :)

V7 news.

<b> NEWS </b>

NK FOOTBALL © - V7 will be developed specially for FIFA ™ 06, however; An alternative gameplay design based on V7 will be created for 2006 FIFA World Cup ™ to make sure that gamers with EA SPORTS ™ latest title can enjoy the enhanced gameplay. This won’t be a ‘quick conversion bonus’ like V6 was from FIFA ™ 06 to the World Cup game, but designed over a period of weeks and tested. It will be a separate update.

This is good news for anyone who enjoys the gameplay of V6. Expect V7 to build upon V6 and improve on the difficulty and equilibrium (without a cameo appearance from Christian Bale). The design for V6 will remain very similar in V7 to keep it balanced, challenging and enjoyable to play. However, goalkeepers will be tuned better, ball physics will be enhanced and so will the CPU play both on the attack and defence. This, like V6 will be put through a thorough beta test. The feedback received for the two V6 beta’s released was an essential element to the success of V6 and for the fans to enjoy THEIR game.

V7 is to be released in June, no date as of yet.

Special thanks to Ockham for CEP compatibility and FIFA FS for a wonderful install program.

dude... sorry 2 dissapoint... i still get da black screen & i'm very sure i installed e cep version! & same thing again... s soon s i changed da config file... it's back 2 nornal!
btw, i used cep's config file... just wanna know is there a big difference?
