New Season Crash

I'm into my 6th or 7th season with Valencia, but now the game crashes right after resigning and signing a sponsor, at 80% of loading schedule, scouting and all that for the new season. Every single time.

I actually did tried to sign with a different team and that actually worked - no crash after that. But I'd really want to continue with Valencia, I've got great young talents coming up there, so I just wouldn't want to lose them all.

It can't be the 30 player problem: I've got 22 on the team and 4 coming back from loans. Anyone had anything similar? Any solutions?

my game crashes after the 3rd season everytime no clue why. Well it may have something to do with me using national teams.

Are you using any patches or modifications?? Which platform?? Does it make a difference which sponsor??

I'm on PC and using some roster update patch and it wasn't because of the sponsor.

I went through different methods and came up with this:
I had 6 contract extensions available at the end of the season. When I refused them all, the next season loaded fine. So I tried all player by one, combinations of two and three, none of those worked. So finally I resigned only the star striker and got 3 of the rest of the 5 players back through free agency in the fall. So it's okay now.

I wonder what was the problem then, it couldn't be caused by a single player, maybe the size of the team, but the team consist of 22 men after signing the 3 back.

And once again I have to mention that the transfer window sucks ass, because the lenght of it depends on the number of games in that period, as it should depend on days. We basically can't do **** in the summer transfer windows. We should be able to simulate/play day-by-day not game-by-game.

Very odd. The only thing I can think of would be players in your updated rosters that have retirement ages that are too high, but I would expect that to have an impact whether or not the affected players were on your team.

If you still have the saved data file from before the end of the season then I'd be interested in taking a look (but I'd need the ENG.DB and FIFA.DB too). If you are willing to part with those for me to do a little investigation work then please ZIP them up and email them to [email protected]

As I said in my email response I'm afraid that I can't find anything obviously amiss in the data file(s) that you sent. The problem is really odd (and obviously doesn't depend on anything other than the data because I can reproduce the crash on my machine with the default .INI settings et al). The fact that releasing five players into the free agent pool bypasses the crash is just plain weird, especially since not doing so but signing to another team in the same league also doesn't crash.

Be interesting to see if it does the same thing at the end of the next season, but I suspect that you've just managed to find some strange combination of circumstances that triggers an exceptional condition of some kind.

did anyone come up with a solution to this problem because i am having the exact same thing happen to me now..

With Rangers.. is about my 8th season in the game.. have 6 or 7 contract renewals, and it crashes on the 80% mark.. ARRGGHH

please someone say they have fixed this..

Well i can tell you it has nothing to do with the player contracts, because i got in and re-signed all my off contract players before the last game and it still did it, HOWEVER, when i changed my starting line up for the final game (The Scottish Cup Final) it went straight on through..

Very odd, indeed

it booted me out with

help

I am having the same problem, i started with Acrynton in football league two and brought them all the way to winning the premier league, Fa cup and ECC. now i am on my sixth season with the club and the game freezes after selecting and sponsor, when i change clubs it loads. But i really want to stick with my club, i have some real good talent that i want to nurture.

i choose man city and now in my third season the same ting is happening again.
