New team crashes in exhibition

I created the Maltese national team via CM, and I can put the team in a tournament and play just fine. But whenever I play a friendly, the game crashes. The game crashes even when I go to "Team Management" on the game setup menu.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please?

lack of detail dont help fix anything.

does everything look right in cm11 ?
do you see players names in game ?
do they have a formation ?
are there the correct amount of starters & subs ?
are they assigned a stadium ?
do they have a rival opponent ?

1) Yep, there's nothing weird in cm.
2) When I try each one individually in Arena mode, they appear just fine.
3) Yes, created it in CM as usual.
4) Yes.
5) Yes, Stadion .23 Maj.
6) Yeah, Turkey.
