New user issues

Hello all, I'm new here but want to get stuck into this community and modding however I have hit an issue preventing me from doing this.

So I set out and made a post to a topic and went away until the next day giving the forums a chance to register that I have made a post. I then spent 20 minutes or say creating a thread I planned on using to showcase my mods, get feedback and in the process introduce myself and let people know a little about me.

It was well written, informative and offered a Bristol City fan pack mod that is my first work as a download. I was informed via an automatic pop up that the moderators needed to check the post before it was given the ok. This was well over 24 hours ago and I have no idea if I should submit it again, if it's been rejected, if it has been rejected why it has been rejected etc?

So my feedback would be:

• Look into implementing a "submit thread" system that updates the poster on the thread status and if it has been rejected, why it has been.
  
• A getting started PM when you join up linking you to the introduction thread (I found this after making my post), and including useful links for people who are getting started.

I think these two would be a great start.

Another thing I may be missing but also seems to be quite hard to locate is where/who I should be asking for help with the site. I cannot find a list of staff so that I can contact someone and there seems to be a very structured set of forums so it's hard to locate a place to ask questions like these.

Each moderator is assigned to certain areas of the site and there are several supermoderators and administrators who are in charge of everything, so send any doubts to any of them or the relevant moderator. You can find this list by scrolling to the bottom of the main forum page and clicking on 'veiw forum leaders'.

EDIT: Also note that moderators have blue balls beneath their usernames.
