I am a fan of his attitude, but also firmly behind his eventual transfer.

Not only did we make a profit by selling him to West Ham, but we also got a better and more attack minded player in Joey Barton.

Last season was not good to him. He got a couple of goals early on, but soon died out. As a player he was never the one to push the team forward as you'd hope spending most of his time spinning round and round (:D) in mifield. Nicky Butt was NUFC best player last season... and every time him and Parker played together things were too negative. The best combo was Butt and Emre.

Come the end of the season you could tell Parker wanted to leave, so be it really.

He was one of my favorite players :)

My first team in england is ManUtd, but newcastle follows closely :)

Oh right, cheers Matt. Yes, Barton will certainly help improve things. Class player, but a bit of a **** so I've heard.

Anyway, good luck to you - I hope to see Newcastle doing well.

I really hope he gets to play and in doing so upfront.

In his early United days where he was used as a striker - he was absolute class.

+ his temper has improved a lot and off the pitch he's a "Neville" not "Ronaldo99" anyway

heard a rumour you might sign up Gretar Steinsson aswell (plays for AZ Aklmar, previously for BSC YB (Berne) my local side. He played Right, Left and Centerback and was the best defender in the country by miles.

also news is that dragutinovic has admitted to the rumours that he agreed to sign for newcastle and will sign within a few days! apparently! :D this seasons going to be immense!!

can any of you guys tell me any newcastle fan sites that are good. the premiumtv one is rubbish and i currently mostly use nufc.com thanks!

Got a chance to catch your game today. Newcastle is like a whole new team, although Allardyce does know Bolton more than anybody, still the first half was well dominated and deserveably 3-0, second half Newcastle just kept the ball and lapsed on a corner just once to conceed. You guys should do well this year, except don't expect to always playing attacking football no matter what the score is.

Damn U Aston villa :f***:, a very frustrating game with not many opportunities. With so many attacking players, we should have been able to create something.

Owen was invisible in those 30 minutes that he came in. I would of preferred that Martins played alongside him to see what they can create. On the plus side, he looked good, now lets see what he is able to do next..
