NHL 2004-The New Best PC NHL Game

So EA didn't release a PC version of NHL 10 (not a huge loss because the story with that game is similar to FIFA...each version basically a patch over the last).

What's happened instead is more people playing NHL 2004. The reason is because of how customizable the game is. Also because of how good the AI is in this game. Playing against the CPU is actually just as fun as playing a human opponent. Online play against human opponents is also good because of simplicity. Anyways, a modern 2009/10 mod (which updates NHL, DEL, SM Liiga, Elite league) was released for the game and it's the only PC hockey game which receives regular updates, NHL09 is dying out. There are also other mods like a 96/97 season mod and a classic mod being developed right now. You can find more info and download the mod here:

You can buy the game cheap from online for $2-5 USD. It's also readily available on the internet.

I have this mod installed and it's probably the best sports game mod I've ever seen.

Not just the best "PC hockey game" but best hockey game overall. Even if you aren't a hockey fan you should check it out. What those guys have done to this game is just incredible. If you think PES/FIFA mods are radical, well, multiply that by 10 and you'll get the idea. Even the whole front end has been rewritten!!!!

PS: NHL 09 for PC is nothing but a (bad) joke.

Is there anything like this for Madden, too? I have the 04 demo because it's the only thing I could find for PC for free.

You might be able to find some stuff for Madden here:

But I don't think it would be like the NHL 2004 mod. Reason is because NHL 2004's interface was written in HTML or something and therefore editable. They've added entire new feautures to the game. I also don't know if Madden's ai is tweakable like for NHL 04.

It's not as good as the NEHL or anything but anyone can join/play, you don't need to be experienced. Hopefully I can play you online some time.

lol WTF. Full games are easily found for download for free online nowadays haha. Last game I downloaded was PES 2010. You just need to know where to look for them :P

That was just an example that I gave. You did NOT specifically ask for the link for a Madden game. You only asked me to prove that games can be downloaded for free online. I proved it by sending the link for PES 2010.

And for your info, if you know how to search online, you can get Madden games easily as well Good luck.

I dunno what you're talking about, I've asked for proof that Madden games can be downloaded (altohugh not specifically it seems), I've done nothing wrong. I'm not asking for anytihng illegal, there might be a legal way to get games, that's what I'm asking. I want proof that that's possible.

....can be downloaded for FREE. That's the "proof" that you're asking for. Basically, you're asking for a paid game for free. Using the "proof that it can be done" reasoning is just a clever way of getting access to the game(which is what you want) without having to pay for it....sounds illegal to me.

I'm not trying to be annoying. I'm stating the facts! You wanted a mod...that quickly changed into the full game(less work for you, installing, etc.) when you found out that it could be had via PM. Sorry, but you're asking for free access to a paid game.
