I'm having some troubles with free kicks. I cant seem to get any on goal that will actually challenge the keeper. I'm not sure if its a power thing or a bend thing that I'm having, but I if I power up to much the ball goes sailing over the bar pretty much every time. On the other hand, if I lay off the power and try to 'bend it like beckham,' I can get the ball on net, but the keeper always catches it easily. I'm not looking to score all the time, or even often, just looking for a way to make free kicks actually mean something again other than just a goal kick.
It could very well be a problem on my end, but I spent the better part of 2 hours trying to figure this thing out in practice mode. I try to spin the ball by moving the stick to the top right to make the ball curl down and to the left. I "usually" power up about half way for a shot from about 30m. It was working before, even when the bar was ridiculously fast. To be honest, I actually prefered that way to this one.
Just want to be able to get some free kicks on goal.

Most of the time yes, it will conflict. The best thing to do is delete it so that you can enjoy the full gameplay of my update. However, backup the situation.ini file first to make 100% sure, but I am 99% certain that this is not required, as it isn't 'default' to the installation of FIFA07.

Ok guys, some news;
Shooting is 100% more realistic. Shots are still challenging, but you will see for yourself how it plays out. The goals scored are very realistic.
Player spacing is far more realistic. More space and time. Better cpu defence timing and the cpu isn't perfect. It'll make mistakes, e.g. a bad pass or challenge, keep the ball to long, etc.
cpu shooting is much better thanks to the new shot mechanic. They'll score goals that they should score and there's many surprises too as the dynamics of the shooting aren't as perfect as say the original EA SPORTs gameplay, so more mistakes and beautiful goals are possible.
Ball physics, what can I say? Much better. Vibrant, colourful and natural. I love kicking the ball around to see where it ends up. The ball can bounce up in the air and your player can have trouble controlling it and stumbling.
I will release footage later today.

Also, goalkeepers for user and cpu are equal for a fair game, fair goals. You have to work for the goal, but not unrealistically. So weak teams will be much easier to break than say Brazil.
So amateur keepers are easy to beat because they are amateurs! Whereas World Class keepers are harder for both cpu and user. It's very fair now.

Great Work but I think the CPU is much 2 easy as I said on Page 2 or so I've beaten Brazil with Rochdale, which is one of the worst Teams in FIFA 07(I've installed ,,skillfull'')!!! And the shooting system is..what can I say.. I really have Respect for ur work but U can't improve ur shoot with ur Patch and I'm not a bad shooter!!!Is it possible to install your Gameplaypatch but with the original FIFA Shootsystem???

the total balancing of goalkeepers is now stopped. This was because it made the game too difficult for the cpu. They'd have 10 shots with 8 on and only 1 goal. This isn't the case now and will be balanced out quickly for the release later on today. WE2 is the best version to date.
