This is the first time i have heard of a virus been put into any of the versions! I don't think it will do anything, if it's in the exe file then surely my computer would be infected and MJ's! This is strange, I am away from my home comp right now (girlfriends haha), but i will contact MJ and talk with him on this matter.

Comps are still open for anyone to try, but V8 has been pulled back into development just for some fine tuning in the ball physics that seems to be nagging at the game. No worries.

I've just DLed from Sweetpatch and a fully up-to-date AVG 7.1 Soho finds no virus in the file.

Haha, crack would prob think you had a virus yes, and that you were playing against a giant Polo Mint. I think the main thing here is to have trust in my updates lol. I don't send out ANYTHING that contains a virus and if it does it's because I don't like you lol.

right on! ...now you lost me at the polo mint though NK
haha. Just keep in mind that me and NK both test the update for anything like viruses and we both have very high tech virus detection systems. Not only its almost impossible to reach me with a virus but being released with a virus is impossible. All updates go through me before being sent out, we both test it and then send it out when we are happy with the tests. Just to say, V8 is much harder and more competetive!!! Anyways how is everybody? The update treating you ok? some people saying its easy...this problem is being rectified but is all good?

I have JUST played and won the most exciting game of FIFA in a long time! The fun was how tight it was, so very defensive, a midfield battle between man-u and fulham, i couldn't break them, they couldn't break me. All our shots were pretty much outside the box, no real chances were created. This was in Semi-pro for 16 minutes of pure football!! They fouled, I fouled. I got ferdinand sent off and they should've had a player down too, but they were lucky.

Then right at the end, I manage to connect a few passes together and the ball rolls out infront of scholes, so I power up the shot just enough and BANG! from about 30 yrds out, the shot fires straight at goal, the keeper juuuust stretches and misses his fingers to the ball, the shot hits the post and almost comes out but it's a GOAL!!! 1-0 what a feeling! It felt great. All I have done since was shout 'GET IN!!!!' haha, well, not now of course or I'd have problems. But seriously, a most exciting result to one of the most intense matches I have ever played and they did have some defensive scrambles where I juuust cleared the ball before they had chance to shoot, otherwise they'd have probably put a couple past my keeper. Brilliant stuff, for enjoyment i'd rate that match a 4.5/5, bloomin loved it! But I know it can only get better.

V8 is just the best of V6 and V7 with its own flavour. It's the hardest version I've made yet and that's not a blind statement like before. I've tested v6, v7 and then reverted back to latest v8 and it's confirmed. v8 is DIFFICULT!!

P.S. as you can see from results below, i have to make double the amount of tackles as that of the CPU because they kept pressuring me and I kept having to get my foot in and kick the ball away! Loved it!!!

Me and Nk had 2 games earlier, both Eng(me) vs Bra(nk), both games won by me 1-0 and 2-0. Although I won 2-0 in the second game, Nk had like 30 shots on goa to like 7 of mine lol, it was incredible, shows how much harder it is to score, but at the same time possible cos I got 2 goals, a LONG range shot and a header!! The keeper played out of his skin, and my defence wasnt bad for a change!! Headers have been tweaked and made harder. V8 is da BOMB! Well im leaving England in a few days to teach those americans how to play 'soccer' so Nk will be going solo with the testing, but I hope I left behind a good test of V8. Take care all

Indeed, MJ is leaving to go to America and teach the little kiddo's how 'not' to play football hahaha, just kidding son! No worries, the updates will still be released on the <b>30th</b> this month and I'm sure you'll all be around then to try em' out and leave some feedback for when MJ returns (that of which he'll be 50 years old).

Always liked the atmosphere in Fifa06 however, the gameplay is the most realistic yet..
