That is peculiar. Do you mean to say your trick controller handle doesn't work/broken? Or are you not using a compatible/recommened joystick?

Where must we put this file?

You must do it in Fifa08\data\cmn\ ini.big and config.dat. You do that with
FileMaster08.exe or with bigGUI.exe :)

Not so. All you've done is changed the default GK level, which will only take effect the first time you create a profile entry. Anyone with an existing profile entry will continue to use the existing GK difficulty level

Or better yet just copy the ai.ini to the 'FIFA 08' directory under your 'My Documents' and save yourself the problems of updating the combined files mentioned (and the issues that will probably arise if you try and install the winter roster patch after having updated config.dat)

So are there any good gameplay patches worth downloading if these are not so good. Are there any that live up to NK level ?? Can some of us who know a bit about editing the config.dat not work together and release a decent patch ??

Ok guys shoot me,
And nebulachapin I have changed a couple things more, then what you says there.But no problem guys.And I don't make gameplay patches , I do that for personal use that's It .It helps me a little to play better.That is the reason why I have placed it here.So sorry guys, I will do It never again.(:/)

i wish that there will be more fouls e.g results by the hard/ mis tackles. there is quick free kick but that doesn't occur too much in the game. the ball should have new value as to ensure it does look more real e.g the bounce

I agree I played three matches and not one foul, its totally ridiculous and unrealistic. What do we need to change to get more fouls / free kicks.

No problem. I wasn't crticizing you my friend. I think it is perfectly fine to play around with the parameters to improve gameplay for your style of play. I think a difficulty that NK had to contend with in making a gameplay is that you can't satisfy everyone because everyone's style of play is different.

Its also perfectly fine to offer your gameplay to others. Tweaking the gameplay is a lengthy process because we don't have a debugger (at least that I am aware we have access to) that will allow you to change parameters quickly and see their effects. I have been tweaking the file for some time now changing this and changing that in order to improve gameplay.

So far I think I am moving in the right direction to increase difficulty considerably. I have always mastered the gameplay of previous EAs (even with NK's gameplays) at legendary level, but so far even with a lot of play, I still havent been able to dominate 08 with the changes I have made in legendary mode. In that sense, I am quite pleased with the gameplay because I have to fight hard to win. Sometimes, and frustratingly so, no matter what, I just cant win. Thats what I want, something that is always challenging.

Actually I think I have been getting closer to this. I have significantly increased the fouls so far by adjusting the jostle parameters. Its a difficult process because (1) I dont know the parameter ranges, and (2) I don't know how these parameters are implemented in the game (ie by themselves, in an equation, etc..)

But right now I get considerably more fouls called in 50/50 balls

Well, I am not planning to release a gameplay, but as soon as I am satisfied with the parameter values I can let you know which ones and what values I am using. At that point all you would need to do is make a user.ini file and put it in your FIFA08 directory in your My Documents folder. I'll be sure to give a step-by-step when I do.

OK, thats excellent, I will wait patiently !
I have been playing round with the jostle parameters and the avoid_tackle thingys but I'm not getting great results :-(
