NK Football: FIFA Gameplay Update - WILL return

Can you modify the gameplay so as to not have the CPU play 90% of it's plays thru crosses. That's all the CPU does in fifa, wait for an open player on the wing and cross it in. Gets really too repetitive.

I'm adjusting the game bit by bit, slowly taking it in a different direction of 'balance' rather than simply a disadvantage against the CPU, but basically this will be more 'feel' then literal for the CPU will always be at an advantage of human players', even in the variables through the ini files, I make adjustments so that the CPU is at an advantage, either that or the human player can win quite easily, especially one who is used to FIFA 06 and plays on World Class level. However, I will look into your request and I am indeed and have indeed worked on the passing, including crossing, lobs and throughballs even down to the pace of the overall ground passing game in FIFA and the difficulty of intercepting passing (which is now easier as to create a more 'challenging' feel to building up a good play).

check out the latest picture from the match I had today, interesting! I couldn't hit the target because the defence didn't give me the oportunity to break into that type of position to shoot at goal clearly. In other games I do get in a lot of shots but I have no way been scoring my usual 7-0 goals, the most goals I have scored in a match is 1! And that's out of 20+ test matches, tweaking and updating the files. And I am very very good at FIFA 06 using the default ini file. If I may say so haha.

can you redo the shooting so its similar to the one on ucl

hey NK maybe lookin at past fifa or even some tcm games and taking useful stuff from that could improve your tweaking

i used this method to great effects on games like fifa 04 and 05

u may be able to find somthing thats in ucl that makes the cpu change formation due to their situation and waste time when in possesion and only a few minutes remaining

Thanks for your support, I'll be looking out for your feedback! Hopefully I won't dissapoint you FIFA gamers, so far the update is making good progress, I'm enjoying tweaking it and improving the gameplay. I am definately looking into the ball physics of the game, I hope to make it much more realistic, but for this I may need more feedback so that'll probably come through beta testing. If you're interested then let me know, cheers.

dude please learn from my patch. ockham clearly did but he didnt too well.

i would like to think i have the best offensive cpu ai. i achieved this by using old funtions tht were removed. you remember the normal,attacking,desperte and contain ai states tht used to be in a file called default.ini? well u can edit an actvate it by using sub_scripts in the ai.ini file but mine were more effective when i made a situation.ini file and added the ai.ini cntents in it.

Are you sure these do work? I recognise all these variables, but to say if FIFA 06 reads them...well...I'm not too sure. Perhaps you can make up a gameplay update and send me the files, I'll notice straight away if it's made a difference.

i'm going to try my own, using a similar method. I knew about adding in these type of files since 2002, but the idea was never used. But since a lot of lines were taken out of the FIFA 06 INI i might try what you've done here and go through the games, picking out different variables.

The problem with the subs made by the comp is that the players switch positions but the tactic remains the same...
So basically, when an attacker comes to replace a defender, he wiill play in the defence...and vice versa
EA will never check this :kader:
