No Sound?

I recently reinstalled my whole computer because it broke and everything seemed fine until I realised that no sounds can play, it says there is no sound card but I am sure there is.
Any help, please?

check the obvious, is anything on mute in volume control? Everything plugged in? sound card installed?

I gave up and just reinstalled the computer again and now it works, no problems.
I must have done something wrong when setting up the computer

i need help as well with the sound... worked fine until i reformatted, says the speakers don't wrk but they really do...
