I, I agree with you on everything. Seattle and the whole northwest is probably the most beautiful part of the US (everything is complete green), yeah if you don't like rain like me and need sun 24/7, you couldn't live there but whatever it's still really nice up there.

I still don't want to fall victim of being a fan to any particular MLS team, but as the league keeps growing I just might alter that. Maybe.

For no apparent reason here is my view on the word "soccer".

I don't mind it. Even quite like it to an extent. I embrace the fact Americans will use it and have voluntarily used it myself in conversation with American folk and as you said there needs to be a differentiation over there.

What I resent however is when German guys for example will use it (along with all other Americanisms). I've had guys on my course in England say "you want to play soccer this afternoon?" that just makes me cringe. It annoys me that that is what they are taught before being shipped off to Britain. (And I can clearly recall ranting about that on here before).

PS: They need to give Greg Sutton some more credit on the TFC website. The man single-handedly keeps the team in the game yet never makes the MOM polls.

Man, do TFC look a changed team with Robert/Guevara/Ricketts. I'm watching the game right now on CBC, and as sh*t as RSL have been, you really have to give a lot of credit to Toronto.

Many cable systems along the border have the CBC on their basic packages, so that's why Shifty is able to watch TFC and the Rick Mercer Report.

Yep. I live about a hundred miles from the Canadian border and we get CBC here. They don't get it in southern or central Minnesota though.

Houston must feel like morons for signing Caig when they could have gotten Ryan McIntosh off Atlanta for a friendly, AND he's domestic so he doesn't use an international spot. Amazing. He was BRILLIANT last night, he couldn't do anything about the goals, but he made one save off of a corner than any keeper in the world would be proud of.
