Offer to clubs - a one-way street?

I use offer to clubs quite a lot, i find it pretty useful for dispensing with 'deadweight' players for a pathetic value. It's certainly been improved sinc FM05.

Anyway, was wondering, has anyone ever had anyone offered to them? It just seems a bit weird that i use it quite a lot during a season, but the AI clearly has no option to do the same.

Most things SI implement are used by both sides, such as media relations, offering to clubs seems to be the odd-one-out.

Heh... i've never really thought about that. I'd love it if you could be a second or third division side and be "offered" top division scrub!!

I've had it quite often that they offer me a player. I find it often annoying. If they want to get rid of the player, and you have him on your shortlist, they keep offering him to you. Even though you rejected their offer 10 times already.

So it does happen. Certainly 2 or 3 players per season for me.

On CM 03/04 AZ once offered me Elkatabbi(sp?) once, beeing Ajax, lol.
That's the only time someone offered me a player.

I don't use the offer to clubs option that much. Only if I really want to cash in on a player I want to get rid off.

ah fair enough Cody, i have a huge shortlist but never seen it happen yet! Glad to know it DOES happen though.

Thanks. It's quite useful Max for reserve teamers, when transfer listing does nothing. Offering to clubs seems to work a lot better to me, more instant replies.

Yes, When I was playing my PSV game, Breda offered Zonneveld(sp) to me, but that was the only time.

Yeah i have a large shortlist too and i get maybe 3-4 a window that are offered to me. I havent had much luck at all in offering players to be honest, although i mostly have been offering loans...

Would be a nice improvement in club AI if more clubs would recognise a manager with world wide recognition (such as me in 2014) offering a VERY promising player to them on a season long loan rather than no club in the world wanting him....

Very occassionally i'll have a player offered to me, Pazzini was the last one - £8mill in first season.

Yeah, I've had it happen a few times. They have to be on your shortlist and most times the team is looking to get rid of the player, or raise some money.

On rare occasions mostly for me. I remember Porto offering me a player. Can't recall who.

Dynamo Moscow offered me Maniche. I'm Belenenses and he would have cost 3x my transfer budget
